"We had the most amazing stay. It wasn’t so fancy that we were scared to settle in and relax but it provided every need to enjoy ourselves. Our hosts were the best - kind, available when needed, and are clearly travelers who understand how it feels from the other side. They feel like friends now. "This A-frame house near Idyllwild is nice enough but is not what I would call 5 stars (having stayed at other 5 start VRBO properties). The house was large and clean, but did need some work (e.g., chipping paint). In addition, there were no special "things" that pushed it to that Excellent rating; e.g., a welcome note, etc. Also, one should be aware of 3 VERY important things not mentioned in the listing. One, to get from the driveway to the stairs shown in the photo is a steep, dirt/stone...
