"The service was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our initial room had a very strange strong unpleasant smell so we asked to be moved. They moved us happily into another room but unfortunately that smelt of stale smoke but it was preferable to the first room. The facilities were good. We used the gym, pool and sauna several times during our stay. They are very small so if it’s busy it might be an issue. Food and drink was good. "

When checking in Alison on reception was really kind, telling my husband he could go back to the hotel and use their facilities even after check out. She even loaned us her own usb plug overnight so we could charge our devices. We have known the hotel for years, my husband went to King Edward’s school across the road, and I used to stay on business in the 1980’s and 90’s.
