We all served together in Afghanistan with the 173rd airborne brigade 1/503rd light infantry in 2009-2010 and 2011-2012. "Amazing house, very comfortable and great decor. Loved it, but two things opportunities for improvement: 1) No smart tv in house. Smart tv’s are so cheap, you could get one small one for $100 and guests could then have Netflix, Amazon prime, etc. otherwise you are stuck with just local digital channels. "Stayed here with my college friends of over 20 years. We met in Eau Claire and this was a great central meeting point for everyone. The location was great as downtown was a 5 min walk away and less than 20 min drive to downtown Eau Claire. "We enjoyed our time in Herbster. The cabin was stocked with all the creature comforts, and its location - nestled in the woods along the lakeshore - was outstanding. We enjoyed our morning beverages as we watched the sunrise each morning. Cooking breakfast and lunch in the kitchen was easy with all the provided items. "Our family loves Madeline Island and we were looking for a place that was close to everything, yet was quiet and fit all our needs. This place checked all the boxes! This place had everything we needed and more. It was tucked away with a beautiful view of the golf course. It had an ample amount of towels, kitchenware, beds and seating. It was the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend! "
