Virginia Union University (VUU) is a historically black university located in Richmond, Virginia, United States. It took its present name in 1899 upon the merger of two older schools, Richmond Theological Institute and Wayland Seminary, each founded after the end of American Civil War by the American Baptist Home Mission Society. "Second time staying here. I love the high ceilings, large room size, and the pillow top queen beds. Awesome shower. Large tv. Location is very convenient. The valet staff are very friendly and prompt. We haven’t had a chance to eat on site but looked popular and the bar had some good live jazz playing. Also interested in trying the pool next time, we will be back! Thanks for a great stay!"

"Enjoyed the hot meals. The staff that managed prepared and managed the meals were vey kind. All the staff were nice. The rooms were clean. I was quite surprised that my room was quiet although across from the elevator. The only disappointment was the ice maker was not working on our floor."
