Pavilion on Northbourne

4.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1229)
"There is a lot to like about this motel, especially its location, the excellent breakfasts in the atrium dining area and the safe parking it provides. On the down side, the rooms are small and the wardrobe cluttered with extra plillows and blankets. It's a good motel for a one-night stay. But as there are no draws to pack away a few items or a clear shelf that is not already cluttered, staying longer will mean living out of your suitcase. "

Mercure Canberra

3.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (1003)
"Very historic building. Rooms a little tired but bathrooms have been nicely refurbished. Has a pub onsite with good meals. The single beds seem very narrow and for some reason the bed was made with the quilt folded in half which meant it barely covered the bed. Didn't realise til the morning however. Great location near the War Memorial. "

"Lovely area of Canberra to stay, easy access off Parkes way, as London Cct is currently getting work done. Lovely view from the Balcony and beautiful weather for the weekend was amazing. Bathroom was a little dirty in the harder to reach places like the corners of the shower. Bathroom was a little cramped with the toilet hard against the wall and the roll holder being leg height. Room was generally clean except for a spider that was squashed onto the ceiling of the room. Overall, great place to...
