"Hotel is great, excellent value, but all around the area is ' under development' so there is noise ( Monday morning @ 0630) and boarding up and some graffiti. I think once its all done it will be great, I was there on business but if it was a couple / family not so great. That said, I think the ' feel ' of the bar , the staff etc may make it worth a try. "The hotel is one of the older ones but this adds to it charm in many areas. There is a lift to the upper floors. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. Offering a walk through to the sea front and shopping area. The room we had was small with a small shower cubicle with plenty of hot water, shower gel and body lotion by Dove. Everything was clean. The bed was also comfortable. Plus a sea view. We used the free indoor pool which was modern and very nice, towels and door key gained from reception. All the staff were very welcoming and happy to help at all times. Food was of a good standard and hot. Again staff did their best to help everyone. "
