Our only complaint is that the whole time during our stay, the lift for the slope we were on was closed so we had to hike up the slope to get back to the house. "We (a party of 14, ages ranging from 10 to 86 years old) enjoyed our NYE stay on Black Mountain. Place was super clean and so roomy! Kitchens had everything we needed. Kelley was a great host and answered all our questions before and while we were there! My parents are still talking about how perfect the house was! I will say the driveway is very steep. Most of the vehicles were unable to make the climb up the drive. Luckily the road isn't busy so we parked below and walked up. ...

"We do a winter get away to the area every year for our sons birthday. he loves seeing snow. This was defintely a nicer house then where we have stayed in the past and fairly priced. The views from the back deck are amazing. The rooms are spacious and overall house kept in great condition. very short trip to get to essentials for shopping/dining etc. we were fortunate enough to have snow for sledding and the kids loved it. good chance we would visit here again next winter."

"Ski Roost has a wonderful view from the deck and is equipped with little touches that make for a wonderful stay. There were some yard games and sharpies to decorate rocks on the deck, the retro arcade game was a huge hit with the kids and adults, and the deck fire pit gave warmth while we took in the view in the morning and evening.
