The house was very clean and the property was beautiful. The place was very tidy with several card games to play, made for a fun getaway while visiting family. The property was easy to find and we felt very welcome upon arriving.

Wanted this to be so much better
Honestly we had issues with the water to shower and witnessed things tgat shouldn’t happen …… it had so much potential
This was the perfect location for all my needs for the trip. Cheaper than a hotel and I could bring my very well behaved dog. The artwork is so beautiful and Amy is friendly and accommodating. I hope she will let me stay there again.
Overall, we liked staying here, but echoing some of the previous reviews, while the linens and towels were clean, the floor and surfaces of the apartment didn't appear to have been cleaned very thoroughly. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay on the farm, in walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants in a cute town.
I looked for tranquility and peace and found it here!!!!! Waking up to roosters and coffee on the back porch sent me back to simplicity and love of nature. In its primitiveness, I found the solidarity that I’ve missed dearly. Amy is a lovely host! I’m going back soon.

Amy’s place was so cute! We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very nice and relaxing with a backyard patio and fire pit. To echo some of the other reviews, there were some spider webs, slight dust etc. But overall the place still felt very clean and would still highly recommend. The vibe was farm house so it added to the charm! Bedding and towels were clean. Amy provided us with snacks which was very sweet. She had family on the property that was also very nice and welcoming. Her dog Abby was also very cute! Be sure to look for her at the convenience store and buy her a cookie!

Discussing
At first, it was fun the artwork was nice, but the more that I looked around I could clearly see that and not been cleaned properly. There were spiderwebs in nearly every corner. I killed several spiders in the time that we were there. I’m not a person that complains. I’ve never written a bad review. There was a constant smell of marijuana in the air outside of the apartment this was very disturbing.
The property was easy to find and was in a perfect location for our time in Bennington. The cottage is quite small but clean and totally quaint.. almost like a tiny museum! The owner is a local artist and her talent can be seen throughout the cottage. My daughter, her fiance and my two grandkiddos came for a day and we had a lovely picnic outside on the patio. We brought them bikes and there was plenty of room for them to practice riding them. Amy and her son were lovely and the kids were able to pet some baby rabbits. Unfortunately, there were no turkeys at this time but we did see some ducks. As for a bit of history, the property was used as a temporary hospital and the cottage housed some of the underground rr slaves. The only negative was sitting on a small loveseat in the evening to watch a football game. Not the most comfortable and would have been great to have the tv mounted in the bedroom so you would have the comfortable bed to sit on or cozy up together under the covers.
If you are looking for a high end luxury cottage, this is not for you, but if you want a clean, quaint small cottage where you will be awakened by a rooster every morning, then book your stay with Amy!
I loved this place - I'm an artist so all the artistic touches made my heart sing. Lots of extras thrown in (my husband especially appreciated the Marzipan). Cozy bed, as warm as we wanted.
My girlfriend, my 2 dogs, and I were in for a wedding. The place was beautiful and the price was unbeatable. Also, being dog friendly was a plus. We loved seeing the chickens, turkeys, ducks, and rabbits. We still had a great experience.
Cute and cozy with tons of Vermont charm. Bed was comfy, checkin was a breeze, and the property is in a great location. The only downside is that it wasn’t super clean and lots of cobwebs. Towels and linens were freshly laundered, but floors and bathroom weren’t very clean. Good for a quick stay, but not sure if I would return.
Everything we needed for a quick visit to the area. We mostly enjoyed the chickens, ducks and turkeys roaming the grounds. Amy is great! Check out her book, beautifully illustrated!
The property is So very charming and historic. Amy is great and responding to every call. Because I became ill on my second day, I didn't enjoy my stay. There was sewer gas in the shower, but also horrible tree pollen in the area.... I moved out four days early. I would stay again, knowing the sewer was taken care of.

Disappointing
We stayed at this place for three nights. I must say it was not a comfortable accommodation. The apartment, strangely adjacent to another apartment, was extremely small. As you walk in, you are at where the bed is. The bed was barely large enough for two people and the mattress was not comfortable, either. There is another room (if you call the space for the bed a room) with a small kitchen, dinky dining table and a small love seat. Here is the list of our dissatisfaction:
1. One of the two kitchen burners did not work.
2. TV remote did not work, so we were unable to watch anything.
3. The kitchen table was ready to collapse.
4. Sink in the bathroom did not drain.
5. No heat in the bed area.
6. You can hear TV and conversation from the adjacent apartment.
7. No one there to answer any questions. I suppose they live in a house on the same property, but not even a hello???
We did appreciate fresh eggs and coffee in the fridge, but we were very disappointed for the above-mentioned reasons. For cheaper price, we have stayed at much more comfortable places.
My partner and I booked three nights at Amy’s property to celebrate our anniversary, as well as to get some much-needed R&R after a difficult month. Our little suite was cozy, cute, and came stocked with an impressive selection of snacks. Checking in and out was painless and Amy was very responsive, not to mention that we had the time of our lives riding the provider bikes and meeting the friendly birds and rabbits on the grounds. We hope to come back soon!
Chickens and turkeys everywhere around this farmette. Lots of amenities in the studio apartment we rented and good location for touring Bennington and the Mohawk Trail.
My husband and I loved staying here. The back patio was perfect for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Amy left us fresh eggs, and we got to meet the chickens (and turkey!) in the morning. The decorations were all very cute and cozy. Thank you!
If you love farm animals, which we do, then you will love this place. Chickens, turkeys and bunnies what could be better. the cabin was clean and had more than what we expected. The patio out back was wonderful to eat on and listen to the roosters. Amy and her son were very knowledgeable of the hiking trails, and just very personable.
