"We really enjoyed our stay. 2 Adults and 2 children (11&9). Location is outside of the city center but it was good to be near the windmills, have the use of the boat and the bikes which we would not have had if we had been in the city center. Children really liked staying on the houseboat. We bought food from the Dekemart and ate at Het Heerenhuis twice which was very good. Uses Uber and the bus to get around as well as the bikes. "The boat is very basic but is in a great location not far from the centre of old Amsterdam. (Ignore Diemen as the location). It’s very cheap for Amsterdam which makes up for its basic amenities. You can make use of facilities in nearby cafes and the Public library. The surrounding area is just off the tourist route so you get to see how locals live. Cees was a great host, very accessible and happy to help out and give advice."

"Wir hatten zwei tolle Tage auf dem schönen Hausboot! Es ist wirklich der reine Luxus dort. Wenn man reinkommt, ist es zwar sehr heiß, aber da man alles aufmachen kann, kühlt es auch schnell ab. Der Preis ist allerdings trotzdem sehr hoch. Der Check in ist relativ spät, das Check in Fenster zwischen 16:00 Uhr und 18:00 Uhr. Eher kurz.
