"We had such a delightful stay at this lovely hotel - a beautiful setting, extremely comfortable rooms and public spaces, and exceptionally attentive, helpful, and friendly staff. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for from the moment of arrival to our departure. Breakfast was also delicious, and the sound of the river rushing by outside our window and the dining room was heavenly. A very special place, very special people, and surely one of the one of the loveliest hotels in the area."

"It was a one night stop over while travelling from south to north. We were upgraded to a lovely room. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Weather very disappointing, obviously no fault of the hotel."

"We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in this lovely gîte. Sandra and Alun gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful on where to visit and recommendations on where to eat. The accommodation is very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by and using the pool. We particularly enjoyed exploring Brantôme, Périgueux, Bourdeilles, the caves at Villars and the surrounding area. We highly recommend this gîte and would stay here again. "Very spacious property for family of 5. Lovely outdoor space and a great pool, much used in the heat. Area is delightful - easy access to Brantôme, Perigeaux, Ribérac (fabulous Friday market) and numerous relaxed restaurants. "

"Zak was a brilliant host, friendly, attentive and ready to quick to any ofrequest. The chateau is fabulous, with loads of very big rooms to spread out in and all the facilities you coukd want. The plunge pool is a bonus on a hot day! "
