"We are four adult sisters, 60+. The cabin was comfortable, had everything we needed for a good stay. It’s located right on the water and so convenient to all the sightseeing we wanted to do. I would highly recommend as our stay far exceeded our expectations. "

"Roxie was a cozy tiny cabin! It was absolutely perfect for the one night passing through with the dog. My only regret was not having more time to make it a longer stay. The cabin has everything you need for a stay! The wood stove did a great job heating it, and it stayed pretty warm all night. GPS took me right there, no issue finding the road. And while no WiFi, cell service was fine and could stream playoff baseball before bed. Would 10/10 stay again and for longer if back in the area! "

"We enjoyed our stay here very much. Loved how we could easily walk to Boothbay. Access to the kayaks was a huge plus too. If there was one bit of advice I could offer, it would be to reduce the amount of furniture in the cabin. I believe there were 15 chairs within."

"Peaceful and relaxing. A few things would have been nice to know ahead of our trip. Difficult to get to the water to swim. Did not know when trash pick up was scheduled and had to remind owner that it was not picked up. All that being said - it was very enjoyable"

"Great location. Very old camp that was pretty clean despite the age...except for the carpeting. Walkway into the camp just an uphill, rocky path. Quite hazardous, especially if wet. Also challenging to get luggage up, especially for older adults or anyone with mobility issues Needs improvement"

"It was nice to have a place to gather instead of spending the money for a hotel, but it wasn't as comfortable. I understand that you don't want to ruin furniture when you are renting out to people, because you just never know, but there really wasn't any comfortable seating in the den and everything is so low. "It was disappointing to not be given the code to get into the property before arriving. This meant that upon arrival, we had to call VRBO customer service to try and get in. They were helpful but unable to get in touch with the owner. Fortunately the owner finally replied to a text giving us the code so we were able to get inside but disappointing to have to wait outside while making phone calls trying to get in. The view was wonderful but we would have enjoyed it more if there was a screen door...

"Interesting old cabin in a pretty location. The kitchen was well supplied with all cooking items we needed. Furnace worked great, and the fireplace was very nice as well. Plenty of space. Only downside was the first night was breezy and one bedroom had some gaps in the walls where the chinking had fallen out--a wee bit drafty. All in all, a fun place though."

"GORGEOUS house and view! Very spacious and accommodating. Things you should know before booking is that it is about an hour away from anything and everything. House could use some more TV's if you're going with children, pinball machines did not work and neither did "workout equipment" which was an elliptical and treadmill. One of the showers did not work and some of the fans that were provided did not either. I think its a tad over priced for its distance to do things but the views from...

"Property was great. But we had no water for one of our three days of our stay. We had to call to get someone out to fix it, and they didn’t know how. It set the tone for our stay."
