"We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! "Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the fujiyama base. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. It was just a couple of minutes from the train station so that was a big plus. Would consider staying there again if we were in the area. "

"I really like this place. It was very cool and relaxing while there. The service was great and the lobby was very relaxing with very comfortable furniture. The place was a little walk uphill from the bus station and getting taxis were not easy depending on when you arrive. The downside was the shower took a long time to get hot and the water from the shower head in my room felt like sharp things because of the shower head. They should be changed. "The staff are very accomodating and very welcoming. They picked us up from and sent us to the train station for free. They offered us ( 5 people) a ride with a ¥2000 fee to lake kawaguchi. They also offered to pick us up from the Fujikawaguchiko masjid back to the guesthouse for the same rate later that night but they did not turn up . Instead, they told us to get our own taxi as they have picked up another customer. Luckily we got a help from the masjid cafe staff who called a taxi for us. We...

"The ryokan at entrance was beautiful. The lobby and the whole lower floor was spectacular. Loved how walking inside your completely transported to a Japanese experience with bridged walkways shaped of arcs and where there was ponds underneath lthose bridges. "Loved the stay at Kounso. The room was spacious and had extra bedding that could be used to fit your preference. I was not sure about the shared bath, but each room reserves time slots, so you do not bath with strangers. I loved the cypress bath, it was perfect after a long day. I chose not to use the room heater because of the kerosene smell. Instead, the kotatsu table kept me plenty warm for this time of year. "Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"This place was amazing. The hosts were so friendly and helpful it really made the trip perfect. We had a traditional Japanese room and I slept so good on the bedding that my back felt great each morning. The area is beautiful and the host are knowledgeable about the sites visitors come to see. "Really nice place, big could fit 4/6 people easy. There was only two of us so we had lots of space. Location was decent. About 15/20min nice walk from mt fuji station. You get your own private indoor hot tube,you have to fill it yourselves,theres a hob fridge and microwave. Also really nice views of Mt fuji. We would stay here again "

"Very pleasant stay. Great view of Mt. Fuji right at the front door of the resort. Everything you need is provided. Best dinner ever with the BBQ they provided. We bought very fresh food at nearby supermarket and grilled them for dinner. Staffs were really helpful while I sprained my ankle the first night. Appreciated their help."

"We had such an amazing stay at this hotel, our stay was only two nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. Not only was the hotel clean, quiet, and easy to get to, but the view from our room was beyond amazing. The ammenities were so lovely, with a quiet onsen spa with views of Fuji, and easy access to a hiking trail that leads to a beautiful viewpoint up on the hills. If youre looking for a luxury hotel with once in a lifetime views of mt Fuji, this is the place for you. "

"We had a fantastic stay at La Vista Fujikawaguchiko. The service was excellent, from the friendly reception staff to the attentive dining team. The food was delicious, and they kindly accommodated our dietary requirements, which we provided in advance. The views of Mount Fuji were incredible, and we especially enjoyed the bathtub on our balcony. The private onsens were a highlight, and the small touches like free ice candy and complimentary wine made the stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and memorable experience."
