"The Generator hostel is across the road from the train station which was very convenient for us. Check in was slow as there we many people checking in at the same time, rooms are small but clean, bathroom is tiny but still useable. Breakfast was 9 euro, there are laundry facilities for 6 euro. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. For our 1 night stay this hostel is perfect "

"At check in I had to pay extra cost int the name of "Local taxes" however it was already added to my final payment. The room faced to the main road so it was noisy, however it was cosy. Breakfast was good."

"Business trip to Hamburg. Good location for the “hustle and bustle”. Staff on arrival were great (two guys). Staff on departure (female) sadly not so good as I tried to book a taxi to the airport and she wasn’t particularly helpful. I ended up walking down the street and ordered an Uber. "

"The rooms were big, which was great. Each floor had a couple of showers and toilets, also good. But there was more negative than positive. Location wasn’t close to a lot of food places and I didn’t feel particularly safe walking around at night. There is no lift, so hauling luggage up flights of stairs wasn’t great. Shower on 2nd floor wasn’t working properly, it was either boiling hot or freezing cold and the showerhead wouldn’t switch to rain shower, so it was a bit awkward showering. There...

"We had never stayed at a hostel before, but had a very positive experience. We did have to share the bathroom with 6 other people, but that is the nature of this type of facility. We were able to do our laundry there and enjoyed the room that we were able to stay in. "

"The sharing room of this hotel is really nice. It's clean, spacious and comfortable. Maybe because I was almost alone in my room after a guy who comes from Norway left but overall it's nice. Especially, the restroom and the shower isn't separated."
