"This property was an absolute dream. Fantastic views of Loch Ness, walking distance to Urquhart Castle, spacious, quiet, peaceful and clean. It was a bit difficult to find for the first time in the dark as it gets quite dark in Scotland, but that was more due to my unfamiliarity with the area than the instructions that were given. I would still recommend trying to arrive with light left in the day because the view of Loch Ness is nothing short of spectacular. I highly recommend this property and...

"We had a great stay, the property is well stocked with everything you should need, nice to have an enclosed garden for our kids and dog to play in. Location is great too with walks straight out of the door, plus well stocked village shop and fantastic restaurant just down the road. "

"This was the perfect cottage in beautiful surroundings. It was our base for the week whilst we explored Loch Ness and other nearby towns and places. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and homely. The boating on loch Knockie was also an added bonus and enjoyed by all. Catherine was very helpful and always responded to any queries quickly. "This is a truly impressive house. The short title of the listing is absolutely correct; it is a stunning location. You are practically in your own forest with a Loch just a minute's walk. There are lots of walks around the house, and it is completely peaceful. There is an abundance of wildlife in the garden, including pheasants, Red Squirrels and hundreds of birds. "Lovely stay at The Bakehouse, we didn’t want to leave! Very clean and comfortable. Great local walks and it was nice having the wood burner to come home to. Nice pubs in the area which are walkable. Excellent communication from the hosts. We look forward to returning again when we’re next in the area. "

"Everything about the lodge was comfortable, from beds to ease of access. Hot tub a great favourite. Sauna and jacuzzi good. Heating set perfectly, never needed to change any settings. Plenty of walks on your doorstep and nearby."
