"The room size was generous and bed very comfortable. Bed was adjustable for reading and watching TV. Breakfast buffet was delicious with ample choices. The hotel bar snacks were also good price & tasty. "

"The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to so many attractions. Our room was great too. Nice and quiet and our son loved the size of the sofa bed. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were so many options within walking distance. Got a taxi from airport to the hotel and back - we pre-booked ours but there were plenty available so I don't think that was necessary. Would definitely stay here again."

"Fabulous location on the royal mile with onsite parking at a reasonable price. Reception staff were fantastic, and our room was comfortable, a good size and had everything we needed. Didn’t use the bar and hadn’t booked for breakfast as it’s so close to many coffee shops. We got a good price as booked out of season and couldn’t fault the hotel. Would definitely choose this place again over other places we’ve stayed at in Edinburgh. "

"Market Street hotel takes every detail of making your experience there seriously. The rooms are nearly soundproof, they have all the amenities. Also close to the AirLink bus stop to and from the Airport. I had a wonderful stay as a solo female traveler and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone who made my stay unforgettable. "Loved the stay, but some things you should know before staying. Check in is at 3 and no earlier. Myself and many others were turned away until exactly 3. The shower and toilet are one. So it can get swampy if you don’t get into the shower right away. Bring a Roku or Fire stick."

"The property was wonderful. Nothing fancy but, quaint and quiet. The staff are lovely despite minimal interaction. The room I stayed in, (family quarters) was lovely. Although a the bathroom was a little small and the cupboard door doesn’t fully shut, it was exactly what I needed. Tea and coffee was provided, which was lovely. "I paid in full by debit card when I checked in, the payment was approved, but I was still charged a deposit of £60, which shouldn't have been necessary. And now I have to wait for a refund. I have never been charged a deposit by other hotels when paying in advance. "

"We had a fabulous stay, from start to finish. Yasmin checked us in and was so lovely, welcoming and helpful. Our personal hand written welcome card was just such a lovely thing to receive. The location, decor and facilities were everything we could ask for. The room was super and the decor was lovely. There were a few hairs in our room, we particularly had to clean the TV remote control before use. We really loved our stay and looking forward to our next visit. "Beautiful room, though no fridge but kept window open. Toilet rad boiling but maintenance fixed this immediately.would stay again but maybe a quieter room further back from road. Safe in room, lovely big telly, comfy bed, tea coffee sugar, biscuits and little milks left for us. Gorgeous Arran toiletries..Nice gardens, and a wee fun putting green too. "

Lovely conversion with great character

"Great stay We stayed in Staybridge suites this time and was every bit as good as the Indigo hotel next door. Wonderful rooms and lovely and efficient staff Would definitely recommend - and a great price"

2nd visit not the best

"On arrival greeted well and check in seamless. Lift to room was in need of some tlc. The room was initially ok without doing a four in a bed style check. On returning in the evening when i went for s shower the complementary body wash had been topped up with water not what you'd expect at all. During the night the lights within the wardrobe kept going on and off the bulbs making odd buzzing sounds. I did report this on leaving but the room attendant didnt appear to understand me. The room was exttemely hot during the night with the bed not particularly comfortable. Breakfast was a disaster. Waited 20 mins between being seated and ordering. Food was average, however the coffee/ tea machine was broken so waiting staff were making drinks. We ordered when food arrived half an hour later we had to ask again. With only 2 staff and a girl.who appeared to be of a higher position (who did nothing to help) it was a big ask. "

"Great hotel. Had a 1 night stay in a family room which was great. Hotel has been invested in and was being upgraded but it didnt detract from our stay. Very clean and modern and staff were great. New Leisure facilities are fantastic. Restaurant and Lounge great also. We had a great time."
