Bear Lodge Motel

2.0 star property

"Nice, little motel. Be advised that there tends to be no staff there at night. I had to retrieve my room key and receipt from the dropbox. This was fine except they didn’t give me the Wi-Fi password with the key."

Chalet Motel

2.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (536)
"Very nice having a little self-contained cottage. Owner came out to make sure I got in okay (late arrival). Only thing that's a potential stumbling block is low availability of bedside power, due to construction age, which I was easily able to deal with. HIGHLY recommended."

Chief Motel

2.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (454)
"This is a motel on the main drag of Custer. Easy walking to bars and many restaurants. It’s an older hotel and not much to look at on the outside. However the rooms are large and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds, nice towels, indoor pool and hot tub, coffee maker, nice size TV, in room are just some of the amenities. If you can get a good deal on it, it’s a great place. Took one star off as it’s a little pricey. Custer is a great base camp for the southern blackhills."

Cowboy Inn

2.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (234)
"This place is a complete dump except that the room was clean. Very old and somewhat dilapidated facility. Very over priced. The info on Expedia and on the web is misleading. Towels and bedsheets are 20 year old hand me downs. Water stinks of sulfur. The Travelodge across the street looks much nicer and is about half the price. "

Mystic Valley Inn

2.0 star property
7.6 out of 10, Good, (186)
"Worst motel stay ever. Cheaply built and furnished prefab building we were in was poorly managed, poorly maintained. First room we were given had not been cleaned - trash, dirty dishes, dirty bedding. Second room had no heat on a night when it snowed. Off-site owner was no help - a friend of the owner and her husband tried to help, fixed the heater temporarily, and brought a space heater on the second day. Owner did not respond to text. AND it was expensive."

Freedom Ridge Cabins

"I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The property was absolutely perfect—clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting. I had a minor issue with the door combination (completely my fault), but the hosts were incredibly responsive and came right away to assist me. Their kindness and prompt service made the experience even better. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a well-kept, beautiful cabin, I...
