"John welcomed us and was a remarkable host. We stayed in six different accomodations on this trip and this one was by far our favorite. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Parking is free and convenient. John gave us a great dining recommendation which was within an easy 8-10 minute walk. We would love to stay here again. "My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for walking to everything we wanted to see and on-site parking is a big plus. "Run by the kindest people (and friendliest cats!) in all of Salem, and could not possibly be more centrally located! You can walk everywhere from here, and you have a front row seat to any events in the square - it's literally right across the street. Parking in Salem is at a premium, and we are driving a crew cab truck to make it even worse, but Matt went WELL above and beyond to make sure we got a great spot. "The area around the Inn is amazing. Parking limited only 5 spaces. The room looked run down, dirty toilet brush, badly stained paint around the bathroom door framing, heater didn't work. For $650 a night with no breakfast included, beware this is not a B and B breakfast costs extra so it's a BWB bed without breakfast. No vanity products or tea/coffee in the room. Would not recommend staying here, poor value for money. "

"I spent two weeks in the property and loved it. The host was immediately available and one issue with the heat was addressed right away. Cute place with great New England vibes. I was able to work from the property with no issues as well. Beautiful walk down to the cove and a very short drive up the road to the State Park. Great location! "

"This is a nice summer stay. The beach is just across the road (a busy road). It has everything you need. However, as an off season it is not so great. There’s a very good heat pump so being cold was not the issue, it’s the door. Not sealed well so it rattled with the wind and let in cold air. I sealed it with a newspaper to stop the rattle and cold air. The floor is also somewhat slippery when shoes are wet from rain. I all minor when there during the summer. "
