Summary:
19th Century home across from Downing Park in Newburgh, Orange County NY. Beautifully updated home with spacious living and dining, cozy kitchen, stunning light and a WBF. Three bedrooms and a study with a day bed. Two baths, one with an original clawfoot tub. Large front porch and a backyard with deck. A few minutes to DIA, Storm King, West Point, great restaurants, antiques, shopping, hiking, bike trails and water sports. Under 30 minutes to most Hudson Valley destinations.

The Space:
Beautifully appointed four bedroom home with drenched with light. Spacious living and dining room and a cozy fully appointed kitchen. Two bathrooms, one with a clawfoot tub. Large back deck and yard and and a comfortable front porch with park views.

Guest Access:
This is a private home which will be entirely yours during the stay. Access via backdoor code which you will be given prior to your arrival.

The Neighborhood:
Quiet neighborhood across from beautiful Downing Park. The home is. accessible via a private road in rear of home. Grocery, cafes, brewery, wine shop, gyms, antique. shops, day spas and cultural venues are within a few minute drive from the home.

Other Things to Note:
This home is also used by the owners periodically and personal items will be locked away in designated closets.

Lovely house many issues
While the house and gardens were lovely, well located, with good beds, interesting artwork there were many many concerns. First, the host still has not sent me part of my refund from when I had to drop one day many months ago. I am still owed $112.00. The steps leading to the gate to the back yard are dangerous. The kitchen has very poor lighting. The bedroom lacked open closets or places to hang clothes. The water was just warm in both showers, never hot, the liner for the for the downstairs shower was 5 inches into the tub making it difficult and dangerous to shower, a thick runner in the hallway on the first floor was curled up and dangerous, the directions for the alarm were not in the entry information and we set off the alarm. We had to search for the linens for the 4th bedroom. We have stayed in many houses in many states and this house is the only one that presented many concerns. It seemed like the owners and host were inexperienced or lacked knowledge as to how maintain and manage a short term rental home. We followed their list of requirements and were very respectful of the home but wished for a safer home with ample hot water, lighting and no safety concerns which would have been respectful of us, the renters. I am still waiting for my refund I now know why there is only one review on the VRBO website.

This location was perfect ! Short drive to West Point. The host was quick to respond to questions . Th back patio was great! Perfect for our group of 6!
