It is a remote property right next to the Vindolanda site, which was well worth visiting, there was free entry with the cottage. Great location for lots of walks and Hexham & Corbridge are worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here."

"First impreasions are good, a nice welcome touch of bread, cheese, milk and some homemade chocolates. Which after an 8 hour on the road day from Skye was welcome. The cottage is warm, comfortable and you need for nothing, all kitchen items are clean and plentiful. The sofa is comfortable and there is a nice information pack detailing the surrounding area. "If you can make time to leave the incredible view and hot tub. It’s worthwhile spending some time walking locally. Alston is fantastic, cool off in the river on a hot day or explore the village cafes and pubs on a cooler one. Walk through the tall grass to the footpath in the valley. Follow the footpath up river. You’ll reach a waterfall about 1.5-2km away. Lots of places to see locally and some treasures to be found."

"Lovely 3 night break with 3 kids, loads of room, lovely brunch in the hotel, the only downfall was the hot tub wasnt great, it was good but the jets didnt seem to be working properly and the lights didnt work. Apart from that, everything we could have hoped for, would defo recommend 👌"
