After exploring the city come back to this upscale apartment and relax. This is a large (70 m2/ 750 sq ft) New York one bedroom apartment on a high floor in a luxury building with 24-hour doormen, elevator and 9 1/2 foot ceilings. A normal hotel room is half the size and costs 50% more. The apartment is elegantly comfortable. It is right down the street from the St. Regis, Waldorf-Astoria and The Peninsula hotels, close to everything NYC has to offer, either by foot or by the nearby subway and buses or taxi. It features high ceilings, an entrance hall, ample light, excellent furniture and art and a spectacular view of New York skyscrapers. Wonderful queen size bed with great sheets, sleeps two. The apartment was renovated with on-site washer and dryer.

Located in Midtown East, the apartment is in the heart of Manhattan. It is minutes' walk from Rockefeller Center, Broadway, Central Park, shopping and the 'Museum Mile' of Madison Avenue with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby. Very close to subway/ train stations to get you to Tribeca, Queens, Brooklyn or Harlem in less than 20 minutes.

A REAL GEM IN NEW YORK CITY
We stayed in this apartment in the 4 days leading up to New Years Eve. The apartment was really lovely with some amazing Art Deco furniture and things. It was really homey. John The Host was so helpful and generous and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is close to transport - but you dont need it, its a short walk to Time Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Rockerfeller and some fantastic restaurants.

The owner met us at the door, gave us a relaxed tour of his. home and made us feel 100% welcome. Several styles of coffee makers (to fit everyone's taste) plus a Starbucks about 30 seconds out the front door! The bed and pillows were comfortable! The desk was a perfect place for my husband to relax and work on his photographs and emails while I got to enjoy "vacation sleeping in." The neighborhood could not be better. Easy access to Central Park / Madison Avenue / Rockerfeller Center.... The home was clean and modern and a perfect place from which to go out and enjoy all the beauty that NYC offers.

John is a great host. He greeted us, gave us a tour and paved the road for easy access to the building. This is a very nice apartment in a great location. There is plenty of room and it has everything you need for your stay. I recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Nice apartment in a great part of NYC with a wonderful host
This spacious apartment is a lovely oasis in a great part of a lively and fun city. It's just as pictured, with a nice living/dining room, a well stocked kitchen, nice sized bedroom with comfortable bed, and a good bathroom with good water pressure. The building itself is nice, as well. John was a wonderful host, patiently answering all my questions, meeting me when I arrived and showing me around the apartment. He also printed out information related to stores, restaurants, shows, things to do/see, which was a nice touch. If you do stay here, the city traffic noise can be loud, but John has a great white noise machine in the bedroom. I'd also suggest ear plugs, as well. I would definitely stay here again.

John has been a responsive and thoughtful host. He was helpful transitioning us into his home and showing us how to use everything (including the espresso machine) and how to find whatever we needed locally. He was communicative both before and during our stay in helpful ways. His apartment was lovely and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. The water pressure was great. This apartment was in a wonderful location. We walked or took subway( only 2 blocks away). Apartment was spacious, better than our expectations. Clean with all amenities. Large master bedroom and bath. Towels, linens were new. He even had extra toiletries if we had forgotten anything. Wi-Fi was fast. TV had all the channels we would want, we were able to bring a few groceries back to apartment ((Whole Foods was a few blocks away). This is a 5+ in my husbands and my opinion. We decided we would take this place over a hotel room anytday. Thanks John, for making us feel at home.

From beginning to end, our stay was fantastic and John a perfect host. Apartment was as described, Midtown great central location to explore north and south and enjoyed living as a NYC resident rather than out of a hotel room. John was very quick to respond to inquiries, met us at the apartment to show us around and then left us to our privacy, with assurances available if questions arose. There was a binder with local recommendations (especially liked Little Collins for breakfast), kitchen stocked with basics plus coffee/tea and space to spread out. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Truly a home away from home
This apartment is like staying at a friends home and not some business rental. The living room and dining area furnishings are comfortable, interesting and artsy with plenty of lighting. The kitchen is very well equipped and makes having some meals at home tempting and inviting. The bathroom has beautiful Frette towels, a great shower head with plenty of hot water and pressure, and stocked with soap, shampoo and moisturizer - so no need to run out and shop. The bed is comfortable and the owner even has a dresser and closet available for our use so you can comfortably unpack for your stay. And did I mention how clean it is...just perfect! But it’s the thoughtfulness that the owner, John, exudes that makes the place. He prepared a welcome kit that included all the necessary directions for trash, tv, nearby eateries etc. and tour books and maps for NYC. I could go on but the point is this is truly a home away from home. This will be our go to place for our trips to the Big Apple! Thank you John for sharing your lovely home and being such a great host!

I have rented many apartments over many years in Manhattan, generally favoring the Village area. I broke ranks this time to stay in midtown, and I'm SO glad that I did. From the moment we walked thru the front door, we felt at home. The whole style of the apartment is comfortable and welcoming. The lounge is very large and full of stylish retro furniture which we loved. Plenty of seating, including a great designer's desk and a small round dining table. The bedroom is huge and the king-size bed delightfully comfortable. The bathroom is just right - neither too big nor too small - including a half-height tub with two optional shower heads. But the best think about the apartment is the view from the lounge and bedroom windows. I am so used to staying at midtown hotels where the view from the window is the wall of the building next door ... but this apartment looks out over an amazing 4-story building and what you see out of the window is ... SPACE ... and of course skyscraper blocks in the distance. In any hotel you would have to pay a lot extra for such a view. The building really does have 24x7 doorman cover - two of them at all times - and they are friendly, helpful and efficient. The location is great - three long blocks to Fifth Avenue and half a dozen short blocks to Central Park. Nearest subway (4-5-6) is just two short blocks. Plenty of food shops, cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk away. The only problem we had during our stay was some intermittent interference on the TV, which I believe will have been fixed by now, but I would happily stay here without any TV at all. I have gotten used to cramped, second-rate accommodation downtown, with ugly and sometimes dangerous entrances to the building. No more. This almost faultless apartment is now my definite go-to place for the future.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of Manhattan
We had a very enjoyable stay; we encountered the typical amount of street noise for being in Manhattan, but the owner had a white noise machine and we were able to get sleep while there. Everything was satisfactory. The bathroom could perhaps have been a touch cleaner, but I would not describe it as dirty. It may have been due to the fact that this is an older apartment. The location could not have been better. An easy walk to Central Park, and mere steps from Lexington Ave., 5th Ave., etc. The doormen were always friendly, and we found everything to our satisfaction. We would consider staying here again on another trip, especially because the owner was very accommodating regarding our checkout time, and it made our last day in the city much easier.

Great stay in NYC.
Super place to base our long week-end getaway in NYC. The building was very nice (24 hour doorman is a nice touch), and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities one could hope for. Best of all, John was a super host. The subway is two blocks away. The E train will get you to the theater district in ten minutes, and you can easily transfer to get anywhere in the city. Whole Foods was four blocks away. Not sure what else to say other than we can't wait to come back.

This is a lovely apartment, nicely furnished and elegantlyappointed with many interesting accoutrements. Very roomey for NYC in a superb location. Very comfortable but ask John, the owner, what the building might be doing on the outside. We had a couple of days when the outside refurbishment -- and the apt is on the 11th floor -- had some pretty unbearable jack-hammer-like noise. That's probably finished by now. Very nice owner. But be cautioned: it's only five blocks from Trump Tower!

A fine place to stay in Mid-Town Manhattan, New York City
I completed a full week in this apartment and can say with no extradition: I highly recommend this apartment as a great place to locate ones self in NYC and have access to all the sites and establishments one would want to visit. And just as importantly: a great place to rest, read and just hang out. The gentleman renting the apartment met us at the door, showed us around the apartment and made himself available to us if we needed him. He wrote mid-week to see how things were going. That is personal service. The doormen learned who were are within hours and made us feel so much at home. I would love to go back!

Location, Location, Location
This apartment is located in an incredibly convenient location. You are convenient to Central Park, convenient to the subway, convenient to Whole Foods, and convenient to restaurants and shopping. John was an excellent host and gave us the lowdown on nearby restaurants and shops. The apartment itself is very tastefully decorated and unlike many New York rentals, this wasn't decorated to just be a rental property. Apartment was fully equipped with important items like wine glasses and kitchen equipment. It was perfect for my business trip to New York as I could walk to most of my appointments during the day and then walk to meet friends for dinner nearby. I will definitely stay here again.

This property was exactly what we were looking for in NYC. My husband and I traveled to the city to enjoy the theatre, take in the holiday atmosphere while shopping and stroll through Central Park. The apartment was in walking distance to all our destinations but felt conveniently removed from all the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The apartment's white noise machines were a terrific idea and the bed was so very comfortable. The unit was spacious and clean. John was a pleasure to deal with-good communicator and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quality apartment and dependable owner.
