Tryp is very convenient to the train station and Herald Square. Subway was right near it as well. Anything you need was very walkable. Hotel rooms are nice size and very clean.

The hotel is convenient for large families. The staff is very friendly and polite. The rooms need a makeover. The location is near Times Square but the street is not in good condition. For the price and number of persons. This hotel is ideal if you stay in NYC.

For an inner city New York hotel, this place was well located and well priced. The rooms were smallish but made good use of the space, the beds were really comfortable and worked well for myself and two kids aged 11 and 16. Good sized bathroom and good amenities. We enjoyed the room service which was well priced and great selection. Handy to Penn Station and walking distance to all the major sights. Good to have luggage storage available. It’s just in a big room so not super secure but we had no issues at all. I would choose this hotel again if staying in NYC.
