It was overall horrible, i cannot go back to NY for any hotel for sometime. It was very expensive and dirty on top of it. There was barely any service.
A comfy bed and an excellent shower only let down by a poor bathroom layout, some cleanliness issues and a bit of sound leakage around the door all of which are easily fixable! The subway is minutes away and some good nearby breakfast spots to start your day. Lovely staff and a fair price. Would recommend!

Was quiet but my first time in such a spare hotel. Could use some vacuuming in common areas. My room was clean though.
The concept is interesting. The app shows beautiful photos..the hotel looks nothing like them. It was easy to check in and basic accommodations but overall feels like a step above a hostel. The “lobby” was a front area that smelled pretty bad and had a cabinet so toilet paper and a chalk board with nearby coffee/food options. No music playing or decor or environment, just odd. I honestly think something may be dead in the wall like a squirrel/rat. I almost bought room spray. You can hear EVERYTHING in your room, every door shutting, people using a communal microwave in the lobby, and all the construction happening right next door. I know they can’t help construction but it was unfortunate. No water in rooms or vending machines. It was as basic as it gets. If it was super cheap I would get it, but I wished I had booked elsewhere for the price.
I thought the accommodations were generally sub-par for the price of the hotel. The room's sink was poorly designed; it was impossible to wash one's hands or face without water splashing onto the floor. There was no guidance on room amenities, such as where to find the ironing board. Finally, the air conditioning on my floor stopped working overnight. Despite Sonder requiring use of its app to access the hotel, there was no communication via the app that the AC had stopped working and no reimbursement or credit to make up for the inconvenience. I wouldn't stay here again.
Takes time to register. Key etc in your phone. Small rooms, but works well as a budget alternative. Not a bad option at all, considering ending up in friendly Park Slope, Brooklyn.
I was on a girls trip for a weekend. The location was perfect! The train station was super close, great restaurants nearby, and the room was cute. Thank you Sonder for a wonderful getaway!
We were very disappointed with this property. The room was deceptively photographed and was worse than mosr dorm rooms in terms of size and character. But even worse the whole building smelled. It is appalling they charged over 400 for a box in a place that stunk from refuse. We urge everyone to spend their hard earned dollars elsewhere.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The elevator was pretty dirty and the rug was ripping up in there. My room, however, had a broken door hinge. The big metal box on the door that helps it open was completely off of the door. There were screws on the ground, and I didn’t feel very comfortable in my room.
Great place for short stay. Comfortable and great location for visiting family. I wish it had its own gym. The sink position was a bit narrow and the light fixture above the sink was missing. However everyone was super nice and helpful. Would give it another go.
