Reasonably priced oasis in the Manhattan jungle
Rose's place is a reasonably priced oasis in Manhattan's increasingly expensive vacation rental market. You'd have to look way uptown or maybe Queens to find a similar value. If you want to be close to the action and don't mind some urban grit in your neighborhood (which is impossible to completely avoid in NYC) then look no further. I walked the block and a half home from MSG after a Rangers playoff game in less than 5 minutes. This is a spacious two bedroom where my wife and I were able to do online yoga together and isolate from covid separately. The room air conditioners keep the place comfortable and there is plenty of seating. We were not expecting the trees right outside our window and visits from the neighborhood squirrels (no rats to be found!). It was lovely to have a full kitchen although counter space is limited. Be mindful of the steep stairs down to the laundry and don't bump your head if you are tall like me and taking out the trash (bins with black bags) or recyclables (bins with clear bags). Good natural light despite the neighboring buildings and decent light indoors despite some fixtures not working. The building is over a hundred years old but we saw maintenance folks giving it love throughout our stay to keep it in shape. We felt very much at home in our two months at Rosa's place. She was responsive and pleasant and we appreciated her hospitality. If you are ready to dive more deeply into New York then this is a comfortable way to do it without breaking the bank.

Great Stay!
Rose is a wonderful property manager! She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and the check-in/out process was convenient. I stayed at this property for an extended time and friends were shocked by how convenient and spatious this apartment is!

Host is Great
I enjoyed my stay here with the location, space, and price. The host was top notch and even found a way to get me quarters during the "shortage" since no bank would give me them for laundry. The only complaint I have is on the cleaning... the couch had stuff in it, the fridge should have all past guest items removed as I feel thats a liability, and the floors could use better cleaning especially under things. However, I would stay again if those items are addressed just on the host hospitality alone.

Close to everything
Our stay could not have been better. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The best part is it’s location. It is literally in the middle of Manhattan and a quick subway ride to just about anywhere you would want to go. Rose was helpful and responsive to all are questions both before and during our stay. We definitely recommend her apartment and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great location, huge for NYC, great host
Rose was extremely accommodating, helping us with any small thing we needed. The unit itself was large with 2 true full bedrooms (surprising for ny), and very centrally located. Being right by penn station can be a little bit of a headache with all the chaos, but it's worth it for the ease of access to subway lines. Definitely would stay here again!

Very accurate listing! Solid, safeneighborhood conveniently located to Penn station, ideal for those flying into Newark. Simple but comfortable accommodations. Rose was excellent and very prompt when contacted. Would recommend, especially for longer term stays.

Basic, adequate 2-bedroom. Convenient location, but old building where laundry and trash means navigating labyrinth of steps and outdoor passageways. Amenities in apt are basic, can’t cook from scratch, all electric appliances and not all working. Furniture is minimal and basic as well.

It was a farther walk to Times Square than we anticipated. Except for the longer walk we had no complaints and the location is central so we had no trouble getting an Uber ride. Rose was incredibly helpful, quickly answering any questions we had. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Quiet place in a busy neighborhood
The apartment was so quiet for how centrally located it is! It faces the back courtyard - we could hear birds singing and really no traffic noise. The apartment is a good size and was perfect for our family of four. Loved walking to so many neighborhoods. So close to the High Line too. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby - Little Spain is awesome! Rose was very responsive and waited for us at the apartment when our plane was delayed. Had a great week in New York!

Overall, great location but did have a few small issues. We had a mouse, spider and a cockroach. Likely not the first time as we found mouse poison under the sink. Property manager responded with trap the following day. Otherwise fairly quiet and warm.

Great Family Christmas trip
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our family of 5 fit just fine. It is nice to have a place to stop and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This apartment had everything we needed. The neighborhood was not scary. Great restaurants just around the corner... Maggie’s Irish Pub, NY Suprema Pizza and Friedman’s. My husband and I escaped to American Whiskey just to have some alone time. This apartment is close enough to most of the attractions and if not, the subway is easy to use. If you need any necessities, CVS is close by plus there are some great grocery shops. You will need bar soap, shampoo/conditioner and possibly toilet paper. Extras were not provided. As mentioned by all reviewers, the upstairs neighbors are loud walkers, stomping through their apartment but it didn’t last long. Typically getting home around 11PM and up around 8:30AM. We used our earbuds/earplugs and this worked well. Lots of construction going on around the neighborhood but you didn’t hear this. It was the maintenance on the building that was loud but only during typical work hours. This is a trustworthy location and the reviews are accurate. You can trust that what you see in the photos is what you get. Rose is easy to get in touch with and responds promptly.

So much better than a hotel
We had a great stay in Nyc. So much better than staying at a hotel. This is a nice neighborhood and a fair price. Very clean. Small defects but nothing that was an issue for us. We were able to walk to many locations including restaurants, empire state building, time square and Rockefeller Center. The super stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed and the owner met us when we got there. Very good experience.

Overall a very good property - we stayed 3 nights. Space heaters work well - it’s cold in NYC in December! Property had everything we needed. Like some other reviews mentioned, there was noise from upstairs neighbors- moving furniture... Rose was excellent! Very quickly answered all our questions.

Cozy and Cute
Rose's apartment is perfectly located to Penn Station for people taking the train into the city as well as to several parking garages. Close enough to the hustle and bustle of city life but right on the edge where your nights are not disrupted by street noise. Everything you could need is right there in the apartment. We were able to drop our bags a little earlier than check in to save us from having to drag them around the city. Very helpful. Rose was great at communicating with us and very friendly. We would certainly rent this apartment again.

Plenty of room for 4! Great location and clean. The upstairs tenants were a little noisy late at night, sounded like moving furniture around, but other than that you could not tell you were in the middle of the city! It was nice to come back to a quite clean place and decompress!
