I rarely leave reviews, but this experience called for one. Had some issues during check-in where they couldn't confirm my pre-paid stay. Once we finally got our keys we walked up four flights of stairs through a key-activated door to our private bunk room.
Look, you're paying a lower rate than most stays in NYC, so don't expect a large, updated room, or a private bathroom and showers (just a curtain between stalls.) Location is a saving grace: close to metro stations and half a block from northwest Central Park
But, the mattress covers and the bed spreads provided were filthy and stained. We had to go buy bedding from Target just to sleep through the night and still felt gross.
