Very quiet place and excellent breakfast options. Fair pricing but rooms were a little small. Great service and location only 8 minute walk from Times Square. Definitely would stay again.

We got in at noon but check in was at 3, they held our luggage so we could explore. The room was beautiful.The continental breakfast was great with plenty of selections. We checked out at 11 but our bus wasn't until 4, they held our luggage again until we were ready to leave. Staff was so polite and helpful. And gym was immaculate!

Pros - good location and staff were courteous and helpful! Given the sheer number of guests, breakfast was surprisingly efficient. Cons - common areas were dirty. Would recommend constant cleaning of common areas given the amount of foot traffic. Perhaps changing out the black carpet in elevators - not the best choice of color as all the dirt and grossness is in your face. Breakfast area needs to be maintained - tables should be quickly cleaned after people get up to leave. Sticky tables and floors and people leaving their garbage behind not inviting at all. Finally, rooms are the size of a shoebox. Understand NYC space is limited especially in such a prime location - but literally had to walk with our backs against the wall in the room. A little comical actually. Overall if location and place to rest your head at night is priority - then this hotel will work. But if quality and cleanliness is a high priority, then know this Hyatt Place isn’t it.

Room 614 has several issues: The WiFi doesn't work when using the last name and room number login method. The bathroom sink drain is releasing small debris, and the heating system is extremely loud. One front desk employee (with a piercing) didn't tell me the correct, alternative WiFi access code and insisted I come to the front desk for internet access, while another staff member kindly provided the code and connection instructions. I absolutely cannot agree that this is a 4-star hotel, and it was truly an unpleasant experience from the start!

We loved breakfast offered by the hotel, however, elevators are always super backed up, so crowded. Also, someone was smoking in the nearby room, and our bathroom smelled like it was smoked in on several occasions.

We were not allowed into our room until 2.5 hours after check in time because it was not ready. We got a room with two double beds and a pull out couch because we had two adults and three teens. The pull out couch was broken. They tried to fix it for an hour from 11:30pm - 12:30am and eventually my older teen slept on the floor. They would not bring us another mattress and had no free rooms to offer us. I was told I would get a refund, but it has not completely gone through yet.

I really liked the Hyatt. My only two complaints are there is no valet parking so dropping your bags off and driving three blocks to the parking garage is a nightmare. And the second is the elevators are small and crowded and take forever. Everything else was on point I would stay there again.

The air conditioner was making an unbearable noise and I couldn't sleep for the whole three days because of the very, very annoying sound of the air conditioner, and the phone doesn't work and no one answers, it's very disappointing.
