I'm nit picking here but the floors were cold, the appliances (microwave, toaster, etc.) all needed carried from their storage spot to the kitchen counter, a small nuisance. "In an age of "Live Laugh Love" vacation rentals -- every property a generic flip, done up in neutral tones and mass-manufactured message art -- it was so refreshing to enter the Cabin Skowhegan, where everything seemed like a real live person had put it there. The photos of local sites, sometimes captioned. The worn-in but sturdy and inviting furniture, arranged for comfort. "The property is newly renovated, spacious and very-well equipped with any kitchen utensil you might need. The beds are comfortable. We stayed there for a ski trip to Sugarloaf. The ski area is about 30 minute drive from the house. We loved that there is a grocery store and restaurant options nearby. We will be back again. "
