We took a walk around the neighborhood, both solo as well as in a group, and everyone felt very safe. We did end up bringing all of our own groceries, so I can’t comment on ease of finding food, but we had no problem preparing all of our meals, the hot tub was GREAT! "It was a quick weekend get away and the property was secluded and quiet. It had everything we needed, properly stocked, and a great location for a fall getaway. "This is a clean, comfortable and well-appointed cabin and a well-maintained property. It was perfectly simple and had everything we needed…even a flashlight, which we forgot. Our host generously accommodated our special request. Access to water with a kayak was easy. We would love to rent this again! Leslie November 2024"

"Very peaceful location minutes from downtown and a short distance to family in the area. The stairs were a bit much for my mother in law, but we anticipated that going in due to mobility issues. She was glad she got to experience a very unique place. 5 stars!!"

"I stayed here while doing some antiquing nearby. It was nicely suited to my needs, which was basically just a place to crash at night and have coffee in the morning! The river nearby is really lovely and the sound of the waterfall is so nice. You will also hear some road noise, just FYI. It's a cozy space but fairly utilitarian. The bed is super comfy but if you like a full pillow, pack your own. Would likely stay again -- it's a solid value. "

"The cabin was perfect for my family of four during our time visiting family for Christmas. It is exactly as advertised-clean and peaceful. It was even decorated for Christmas when we got there which was an unexpected bonus. We were greeted multiple mornings by the deer right off the porch and every day around sunset the birds would flock back to the trees. At night you can hear the river going by and the sky is as clear as I remember seeing it in years. The owners were very accommodating...

"We were looking for a weekend escape for thanksgiving weekend. Being from Florida we wanted to go somewhere that felt like Fall. We found it. This little one room cabin was just what we wanted. It sits at the end of a road, on a cliff facing east, sunrise. The full sliding glass doors facing east makes for gorgeous sun rises, and afternoon views. Outside decks with fireplaces, grills, hot tub and showers. Though it is a one room cabin, I easily cooked a full Thanksgiving meal for my wife and I....

"I brought a group of people from my church to see the lights in Huntsville. The property was adequate. The on line listing stated the property slept 12 and there was 2 Queen beds in each bedroom and two sofa beds. When we arrived there was only 1 Queen bed in each room and a full size bed in 1 bedroom for a total of five beds and no sofa bed. Full size adults had to double up in beds which was a bit of a puzzle to work out. This property is good for 5 couples or five individuals, but not 12...

"Nice place. Everything was clean and very comfortable. For those who are handicapped, be aware that some units are on the second or third floor. The only way to get up to the upper levels is by climbing concrete steps that are outside. There is no elevator."
