The host lives and works above the rented space with his sweet, old dog. We might see each other here or there on the patio, the garage, etc.
Parkside Retreat is close to beautiful hiking in Kiel. (Walla Hi), Elkhart Lake (La Budde Creek), Greenbush, and High Cliff State Park. Mountain Biking trails can be found in Sheboygan and Greenbush. Multiple kayaking spots also are nearby.
Fine dining in Elkhart Lake, Sheboygan, and Kohler. Multiple Supper Clubs just miles away. Area staples Parker Johns (Kiel), Isaacs (New Holstein), and Brown Baer (Elkhart Lake) have menus that satisfy any appetite.
The area is well known for Kohler's premiere golf courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run. Many other courses exist nearby, such as Hickory Hills (Chilton), Autumn Ridge (Valders), and Quit Qui Oc (Elkhart Lake).
