"This was just what we were looking for. The house was roomy, open and charming. It was also relaxing to sit on the back deck surrounded by trees and listening to the calming sound of the brook. It felt like you out in the countryside yet the cute village of Sandy Hook along with Newtown restaurants and shopping were less than 10 minutes away."

"The neighborhood was clean, upscale, and beautifully kept. It came with Candlewood Beach access. The second story suite was gorgeous, clean, and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was well maintained and a wonderful,"homey" feel to it. The Hostess was friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. The house is on the hillside leading to Lake Candlewood. As can be imagined, the views from the windows were outstanding."

Our host met us, gave us a tour of the property - not just the living space but the grounds, too. The house is cozy, well thought out and has small touches like a deck of cards (in case you have a couple of minutes of downtime), a beautiful tea set with a variety of delicious teas to use.
