A wonderful experience, very relaxing with easy access to tourist activities and restaurants 😀. The hosts were brilliant, portraying excellent interpersonal skills, in addition to sharng very pertinent information. A very well appointed room, very functional, spacious and spotlessly clean, and daily housekeeping and replenishment of coffee, tea etc. An awesome balcony to sit and relax on with a cup of coffee, and a great location - just a 10 minute stroll to the vibrant Bridge Street or the Centre for Musical Arts. One aspect that could be improved was the lack of air conditioning but the fan was fairly effective to ameliorate the uncomfortably warm room after a sunny summer's day.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Chelsea Park Motor Lodge. The name brought up memories of a one-story road-side hotel. While it was road-side, it was two stories with 10 units. We walked in to a very nice two-bedroom unit with a living room and kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was well-stocked. Our unit was sunny with a private balcony. The on-site manager, Dean, was friendly and helpful with good suggestions for dinner out. We were able to walk to center city. I would definitely recommend the spacious, two-bedroom unit in downtown Nelson.

The motel was really nice, we had much space, it was modern and clean. We were about 10 min walk from the town centre. The manager was very friendly. The only downsides was that it was a little dark inside, and a bit more expensive than most motels we've been in the country. But I definitely go back.
