"This unusual property has been sensitively renovated to preserve a wealth of original features. The light touch gives visitors a chance to glimpse what life might have been like when it was used as a farm house for the chateau. While very close to Cordes, the setting, beside fields and in amongst trees, makes it a very peaceful location. During our stay many bats, stars and a few meteors were seen in the night sky. The pool, with its fence for keeping the deer at bay, was wonderful!"

Mais ce n'est pas pour cela que l'on vient à la Baudette, c'est pour son calme, sa tranquilité et sa piscine pour se raffraichir ! "Ancienne Ecole is scruffy and run down but it could still be a charming, rustic place if it was just being looked after in the basics. It isn't though. The owners told us they weren't using a management company anymore and they were finding it difficult to deal with maintenance issues remotely. I'm sure it is tricky but it's no fun to rent it for your family holiday and have to deal with constant problems such the pool not working, and the stench of sewage from the drains in the ensuite bathroom...
