"We always love staying at the Homeplace it is like being at home but while on vacation. It's comfortable it has all of the amenities that are needed and it is centrally located to all the activities that we find fun, hiking, Swimming at Smith Mountain lake, going to winery's meaderys etc. and the beauty that surrounds the house and the orchard just can't be beat. Thank you to the Gross family for always making our stay warm and welcoming."

"I’ve used vrbo multiple times and this house has to be the absolute best one yet! Even better than the pictures. The hosts are so gracious and friendly. The furnishings and amenities are comfortable and inviting. We had a girls weekend but I’m planning to bring my family back here!"

"Our stay in this historic countryside farmhouse was wonderful! This old house is so charming and quirky. The house has plenty of seating, eating space, bedrooms and we loved the coffee bar setup. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed walking the farm, watching the cows and listening to the stream. There is so much to do outside with the firepit area, basketball/tennis court, ladder ball, cornhole, etc. We really enjoyed our three days there. Ian was a terrific host...responding...
