"The property was beautifully maintained with everything we could possibly want to make it an easy, relaxing weekend, from an assortment of coffee pods to firewood for the outdoor fire pit, to propane for the fire pit on the deck, to games. The house is less than a mile from the entrance to Pipestem State Park, so ideal for hiking beautiful vistas. The owner was also great in answering questions for me before our trip about the house and surrounding area. I really can't say enough nice things...

"We spent four nights here while riding in early November 2024. The place is recently renovated, spacious, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication was excellent from booking to checkout. We will definitely consider staying here again next time we ride in this area. "

"I visited in the fall with some college friends for a game weekend, and had an incredible stay! The house is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to campus and downtown. "Spacious house with lots of amenities and beautiful views. Parts of the house are a little dated (especially the bathrooms) but it is clean and well kept. The roads around the house can be small and a little tricky but still manageable even for a minivan. Originally we were going to have four families staying but half of our group had to cancel - it would have been a tight fit if everyone came, probably best with just three groups. We enjoyed our stay and would book again!"

"My 8yr old son and I were in town for one night and needed a place to stay. Found the Blank Slate bus and jumped on it, AFTER reading all of the details. We could not have had more fun! Everything was tidy and clean. Having most of our camping supplies, we were over prepared. Once we got settled in for the night, it was all we needed. Waking up in a forest but only a few miles from civilization was a plus.Could not recommend more! It was lovely."

"We had to move two Hokies, one out and one in to a BB townhouse. Having stayed at the Little Blue Cottage in the winter 2021 to take our Hokie skiing at Winterplace, we knew this house would be ideal for a multi day stay and a place to park our trailer and once done moving, tube the New River at the New River Junction campground next store. We had so much fun and the cottage is ideal. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. The scenery is lovely and we enjoyed watching the egrets over morning...

"We traveled 4 hours to stay at this rental only to find out that the place was vacant and locked up tight. There has been no renovation and the host was unresponsive. There wasn't any furniture, no stove, no refridgerator, and there was trash around the place. We had no phone service and no place to stay. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, IT IS A SCAM!!!"
