"The room was fine and there was a large extra space that we ended up using as a walk-in closet but the bathroom was very small with a tiny slippery tub and a big step that made the access very awkward. Regardless, after 3 days we wanted to stay one more week in Osaka and asked to keep the room but our request was denied although we knew a room was still available. So we moved to a better hotel. Since they cater to large groups we figured they couldn’t care less about us."

"The hotel was good. I would actually stay again because of the amenities. They do a couple of freebies on the weekend. Not sure if they do it on the weekday as we stayed on the weekend. The room was very clean for a very busy hotel. I felt like they maintained cleaning standards even though it is so high traffic. They offer private onsens. Yes you pay for it but it was nice that it was offered because Japan is not tattoo friendly at all. At almost all places tattoos are not allowed in the public...

"The hot spring onsen bath was delightful! Staff were helpful. We had difficulty finding the hotel on a rainy evening. First night in Japan and we couldn't quite figure out GPS on any of our phones, but once we were in, it was very nice."

"The service is top notched. The location is good . Kintesu line and mall just besides the hotel. Direct bus limousine from Kansai. 1800yen for adult and 900 yen for kids. Have been here 3 times for holidays over the past 15 years. "

"I like this property, close to train station and walkable from Namba (Doutonbori) and Ebisucho (ShinSekai). There’s a convenient store across the street. Staff are very helpful and respectful. The breakfast buffet are good but the food menu repeats every other day. "

"The property was great value for money. Reasonably priced but with quality rooms and amenities. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Metro public transport was nearby just across the road which was great and very convenient. The surrounding area around the hotel was not so nice. "We were told the privilege of VIP afternoon tea lounge access, and ended up paying for the cakes with an excessive price tag which was not even noticeably displayed for the customers. Felt like to be cheated, and VIPs supposed to have access to drinks and snacks provided in the room. "

"It's a very beautiful, big and clean house in Japanese style. Exactly was I was looking for! It looks better in reality, than on the photos. The owners are very nice! They even brought us lot's of fruits. I would like to come and stay there again! Thanks a lot!"

"This hotel has only one guest house, not room. The house has two bed rooms with two single bed in each. You can play piano if you wish. Big bath, small kittchen clean toilet to stay number of days with a family or friends. Food is not math produced. We have had a game (November) in Italian style for dinner. Hotel is more than 200 year old historical buirding but well maitained. Owner explains building and it's uniqe history. It was our own way from Koya-mountain to Nara by car."

"Our stay at the Ekoin Temple was a highlight of our trip to Japan and we will be back! Thank you to all the wonderful people of Koyasan and our shukubo for their hospitality, kindness, and openness to welcoming visitors to this most special place. Our accommodations, the food, and temple grounds were truly wonderful. But most of all, I would like to express gratitude to Nori who we were fortunate enough to be paired with for the many offerings the as part of the stay. "It’s worth noting that this is not a normal hotel but a traditional pilgrim’s lodging, so it is expected that you sleep on a mat on the floor and the facilities are relatively basic. You are staying here for the experience. The property was clean with onsen (hot bath) provided and our room had its own toilet/sink. Our only complaint is that they no longer serve food and we were not notified of this despite this being part of our booking, however we found a restaurant for dinner walking distance away and had a delicious meal. "

"The area around the property is so beautiful! I loved waking up in the morning & seeing the forest outside. My room was very clean and the front desk service very friendly. I really enjoyed the dinner & breakfast service (everything tasted amazing!~) and the morning meditation ceremony was memorable. Everyone at the temple are so kind and helpful."
