"We found the house easily and it was exactly as described - a lovely house and pool in well tended private gardens. Philippe was there to welcome us and although he doesn't speak much English and I don't speak much French, he explained all that we needed to know without too much difficulty. The house is very comfortable with a very well equipped modern kitchen and a wide array of garden furniture to suit all requirements. There was also a covered outdoor dining area if we wanted to eat outside....

"Wir waren schon mehrmals in Roquebrun und kennen eine Reihe von Häusern dort. Dieses hier ist klar unter den besten. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig; es gibt zwei Schlafzimmer im Hauptgebäude mit einem "richtigen" Doppelbett und einem Bett mit 1,60m; im selben Zimmer ist noch ein Einzelbett. In beiden Schlafzimmern gibt es eine Klimaanlage. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet; eine Salatschüssel wäre schön und eine Ordnungsmöglichkeit für die Töpfe und Pfannen (Regal o.ä.). "We went there with the family (2 adults, 3 kids) for a 2 week vacation. Very nice and clean location with plenty of space. The 5 bedrooms are spacious and with 3 bathrooms, there was never a queue in the morning or evening. The acoomodation is equipped with a large inside kitchen and a large outside kitching with big BBQ. Kitchens have about everything you would want or need (ovens, espresso machines, toasters, tools,…) The swimming pools are fantastic to enjoy during the warm weather. If it...

"House was clean and well equipped. Pool and hot tub great . Beds comfy. Only issue was anyone walking upstairs was very loud downstairs..so overnight quite disturbing to everyone. There was no check in or details left . The person of contact never appeared and we had to ring round to get the key . Pool man was brilliant though and came out as required.person of contact"

The check in process was very straightforward and helpful. The area is stunning and there is lots to do if you like walking, cycling or canoeing. Day trips to Béziers and Carcassonne are also possible. The shop in the village is also worth a mention, it’s amazing and has everything you will need. Definitely 10/10."

"We have just returned from the most fabulous week at this wonderful villa with our adult children. Bill couldn’t have been more helpful prior to us arriving answering many emails quickly and with patience. We found the directions and the road to the Villa much easier than anticipated… we have a hybrid mini which managed the drive with ease.. The villa is outstanding it has absolutely everything you would need for a stay and although we had five adults in the villa we never felt on top of each...

"Peaceful, historical and rustic property with welcoming service. In early January, only 1 restaurant was open. We walked Le Voie Vert to Lamalou les Bains for lunch. It was about a 40 minute stroll. Uber doesn't work. We used a taxi service to get to and from Béziers. "

Wonderful house, we loved everything about it

"Fantastic spacious house for our group, especially enjoyed the fantastic pool and BBQ area. Beautiful part of France, lots of options (hiking, beaches, city visits etc). So good to have A/C in the bedrooms as it was very hot during our stay. "

Good villa, great location

"Had a lovely time in Roquebrun. Andre is a great host, very friendly, easily contactable, quick to respond, fantastic local knowledge and excellent English (thanks). The pool was cleaned often and there is lots of space. Roquebrun is lovely and the villa location is great - under 10 minutes walk to the restaurants a small supermarket and a bakery. Kayaking, wine tasting and river/beach nearby Very well equipped kitchen with lots of crockery, glasses, pans and 2 large fridges. We were there during a heatwave and as described, there is only AirCon in the living room. The very high temperatures made the upstairs bedrooms unbearable even though Andre did source some fans for us. Nothing to be done about it really, just a fact of life. The outside area by the pool has limited shade provided by trees and although the terrace has shade all day, the seating is not that comfortable to spend long periods there. We managed to find enough shade but there were only 5 of us. Remember that there is 100 euro charge for bedding. We thought we could deal with that on arrival but we should have let Andre know in advance. Andre, did manage to sort out the bedding with 2 days notice though. 100 euro does seem a bit expensive for the bedding and towels. You could probably buy a set for that. I would think about the time of year and I would have found it crowded for 8 people. Overall we had a lovely time in a great location and a good villa with an excellent host. Thanks Andre. "
