"Staying at Matsudaya was a wonderful experience. It was beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. The onsen baths were great. The food was outstanding. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and polite. Our visit was no nice that we were very sad to leave. Matsudaya was everything we could have hoped for in a traditional onsen ryokan. We hope to return someday."

"A fine property. A bit of a walk to the hotel. Most small shops are a walk - Matsuyas was like 5 or so blocks? McDonald's is 1 block. Family Mart is like 4 blocks. The lobby had a small assortment of drinks and candy or chips. "

"Toyoko Inn in Shin-Yamaguchi is handily situated 5 minutes walk from the shinkansen lines. It is a good, basic, business hotel. There were free breakfasts."

"I'd never stayed in a ryokan before, but have always heard what it was like. I can confidently say, after being in this one, that ryokans are an exceptional place to relax. The traditional rooms are spacious, has a great views, and sleeping in a futon on tatami is a classic for a reason! The amenities are very nice too, with two whole building's worth of stuff! A public bath, karaoke, arcade, bowling, an izakaya, etc. Probably the only thing I would like is wifi in the room (it's only otherwise found in the lobby). But other than that, a wonderful experience I am glad to have had!"
