"Great quiet location away from the city. Cute little cottage - enough for a couple. Close to small town of Bala. Only issue was the heat in the living area. Need more heaters and blinds in the living room. "

"We really enjoyed our family getaway over the Labour Day. The cottage is cute and is a close drive to Bala. It would be have been preferable to be waterfront or have better lake access but the place was clean, the owners were nice and the area is still lovely. "

"My family and I were in awe of the beauty and care of this historic home. All the comforts of modern day but still keeping the history of the home intact. You can see the love of the property these homeowners possess and want to ensure you love it as much as they do. Lots of water activities for the kids but also a pedal boat that my 86 yr old Grandma could get in to enjoy the water. The host was great with communication in all areas. Would go back in a heartbeat…."

"Lots of space for a family of 8 adults. Everyone had a comfortable bed and we could gather around the table for a meal or curl up on the large couch to play a game. Kitchen was well stocked with spices and condiments and had everything we needed for simple meals. We really enjoyed using the kayaks, paddleboard and sauna."

"We had an amazing weekend staying at this cottage as a family. The house was spacious, had everything we needed and was really clean. The upstairs bathroom was particularly lovely and had a nice bathtub and bath/shower products. We spent a lot of time sitting on the big dock and swimming in the lake, and also made use of the 2 stand-up paddle boards. They had beach towels, water shoes and some life jackets which is super nice. The lawn at the back is huge and a nice spot to play soccer or something. The sauna was also SO nice and nicely built and easy to use. The only downside was that the basement smelled musty/mildewy and one of the bedrooms is located down there so if you're sensitive to those kinds of scents something to be mindful of. Overall a very dreamy beautiful home and we wish we could've stayed longer! The nearby town (Bala) is also really cute."
