We have partnered with a celebrated local chef to provide an in-cottage fine dining experience. Begin with hors d'oeuvres by the dock and continue the decadent and beautifully plated meal in the Muskoka room with stunning views of Lake Muskoka. Put your feet up, relax and enjoy a glass of wine and good company. All prep, service and clean up is provided. A truly pampering and delightful experience.

In cottage massages - at the boathouse, Muskoka room or large top floor bedroom can be arranged with a local mobile massage service provider.

Falcon’s Nest is perched atop a granite outcropping, providing spectacular, extended views down to Lake Muskoka. The sprawling one-acre property is set on 200 feet of shoreline, experiencing beautiful lake sunrises. Your luxury retreat is located in a quiet, serene cove of Lake Muskoka, overlooking the picturesque island of St Hilda. Pike, bass, walleye, and trout share the pristine waters. Bring your fishing gear and fish right off the dock.

The quaint town of Port Carling and charming village of Bala are located minutes away. We are happy to provide personalized recommendations of where to eat, what to see, and what to do in the area.

For winter:
A 4x4 (all wheel drive) vehicle is necessary in the winter. The laneway leading to the cottage is regularly maintained and plowed, as well as the top parking lot, however, snow accumulates quickly in Muskoka and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary for your safety as there are steep hills on the way to the cottage Parking in the winter is at the top of the driveway, about a 40 ft walk downhill to the cottage, good winter boots are strongly recommended. A sturdy ice fishing sled is kept at the cottage for your use, to bring your gear down to the cottage. The boathouse and dock are closed in the winter. There is no direct access to the Lake from the dock in the winter, as the bubbler that is protecting our dock creates open waters directly in front of the dock. Never attempt to step out unto the frozen lake near the dock, any ice in this area will be thin given the bubbler creating open waters to protect the dock.

There is a snowmobiling trail that goes out unto Lake Muskoka a two-minute walk away from the cottage. If you see fresh snowmobile tracks, it is safe to venture out unto the lake. A very cool experience walking out unto the frozen lake, a lake with depths of 250 feet in places.

For summer:
Parking closer to the cottage is available - 2 spots in front of the garage (no inside garage parking available) and 2 spots en route, down the hill to the cottage. There is also ample parking in the parking lot at the top of the driveway.

There are several steps that lead down from the patio to the deck area, to the boathouse. The stairs are not suitable if there are mobility issues.
Also, the water is deep immediately from the shore line, boathouse and dock. There is no shallow water entry. Caution needs to be exercised at all times, especially with children.

6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms spread over 3 floors:

The top floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms: 1 king bedroom ensuite, 1 queen bedroom & 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The queen and single beds bedrooms are adjoined by a jack and jill bathroom.

The main floor has 1 king ensuite with a walk-out deck and 1 washroom.

The lower level has 1 queen ensuite and 1 queen bedroom with a bathroom closeby.

All bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated and include plush amenities such as sumptuous bedding and linens
- White linen service: All linens (towels, sheets) included in your stay, professionally washed offsite. Duvet covers also changed and professionally washed between each guest stay. You will be lulled into a deep, restful sleep in luxurious sheets and uber comfortable beds. Step out unto a private deck from the main floor master, taking in the fresh air and lake views. The ensuite bedroom on the lower level opens up to the patio, step out from your bedroom and greet the morning with sunrise views across the lake.

Chef’s kitchen with high end appliances (gas stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave), wine cooler, 2 separate sinks, lots of counter space, Nespresso coffee/espresso machine with milk frother and a large coffee maker as well as oversized kitchen windows overlook Lake Muskoka. All pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, plates included.

Living spaces are large and comfortable - 1 elegant and bright living room on the main floor and 1 cozy and spacious living room on the lower level. The main floor living room is a wonderful place for conversation and laughter with incredible views out to Lake Muskoka. The lower level living room is set up with a cozy gas fireplace, television (free Netflix) , boardgames and a walk out to the patio and firepit overlooking the lake. On the main floor, there is a Muskoka room, a screened in dining area, with long views down to Lake Muskoka. A wonderful place in the warmer months to share a meal together, with the feeling of being up in the trees immersed in nature.

Mudroom is spacious with plenty of space to spread out and store your gear. The laundry room is equipped with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.

Patio overlooking Lake Muskoka with muskoka chairs around a large fire pit. Everything you need for the fire is provided - firestarter, kindling & wood for 2 or 3 bonfires.

The boathouse and deck is down several steps that seamlessly blend with the rugged rock landscape of the Canadian Shield. Note: boathouse and access to the dock is closed in the winter.
In the summer, the boathouse is an awesome place to hang out, with a kegerator, mini fridge and lots of comfortable seating to soak in the sun and shimmering lake views. On cooler days, the large glass garage-like doors can be closed, providing a wonderful lounging spot right on the lake. In the summer, there is a water park available with large trampoline and slide ready to go in the lake. Lots of fun for young and old alike, free your inner child. A canoe, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (with life jackets) are there for you to explore the lake and paddle around the nearby islands. The water is deep immediately off the dock, perfect for jumping into the lake and mooring your rental boat. The chic boathouse is a lovely place for lounging and being lulled by the beautiful, clear waters.

At the end of the night, cozy up in the wood-burning red cedar hot tub, looking up, taking in the vast night starry sky.

Repeat stay by Francis’
Beautiful cottage on a beautiful location. The boat house allowed us to remain shaded ( or out in the sun) so that we could watch our children enjoy the water trampoline, fish off of the dock, use the paddle board, canoe or kayaks. We had our own boat so added activities were water skiing and wake boarding. Never a dull moment! So many memories.

Best stay for my sister’s birthday weekend!
- [ ] We stayed at Falcon’s Nest for a long weekend with some family and girlfriends to celebrate my sister’s birthday and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Preet was so responsive and helpful to deal with - by far the best host I’ve ever had. We were greeted with treats, and she helped us arrange massages and offered to treat us to a birthday cake for my sister from a local spot. The waterfront has many activities and everything is in great shape. Things looks just like the photos, but even better in real life. The location is incredible - 10 minutes to each of port Carling and bala. We cannot wait to go back to this amazing property!

Muskoka Dream Stay
Our family had such a special time together at the Falcon's Nest. The house was immaculate, there were special touches across the home, lovely soaps, chocolates, and the most incredible charcuterie board we've ever seen! Preet was so attentive to all of our needs, and we couldn't have asked for a better visit. Thank you!

Nothing short of perfect
Preet and her team have really gonna above and beyond anything we could have expected. There were 6 of us staying in the property and we were taken good care of, with little details all over the property that makes you feel good. The property is stunning (the photos don’t do it justice) and it is a relaxing, peaceful place to spend quality time with friends and family. Preet knows the area like the palm of her hand and can recommend a private chef, a private masseuse etc. so you can make the most of your stay. Absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay somewhere special!

Great cottage!
We had a wonderful stay and Preet was very responsive and helpful prior, during and after our stay. Excellent location! Loved the lay-out of the cottage. Extra amenities like hot tub and water sports equipment, yoga mats etc were a hit!

best summer vacation with family
The cottage is beautiful. Had stunning views of Lake Muskoka from every room. Preet is an outstanding host who responded quickly to any of our questions. There were fresh flowers placed in each of the bedrooms and in the screened-in porch. Spa like trays in each bedroom complete with 2 bottles of water, hand lotion and chocolate treats. There was a large box with our name on it and inside was a bottle of Prosecco and designer jelly beans for each guest to enjoy. We ate all of our meals in the screened in side porch. The one long table easily accommodated the 10 of us. The dock area was fantastic..area protected by the sun made watching the grandkids waterski, tubing and use of the water trampoline and all of the water crafts (canoe, kayaks, standup boards) provided by the host possible. When we have stayed at other cottages, the dock area has had little shade. After this experience we will only rent from cottages with this kind of setup. Everyone had a fantastic time. Highly recommend this cottage rental.

50th anniversary celebration
Our adult children and their spouses joined the two of us for a celebration of our anniversary and the opportunity to be together after two years apart. It was awesome! The property is stunning and we had lots of choice for bedrooms , where to congregate for meals and relaxing…in the boathouse, by the fire, in the kitchen or the living rooms…. I would not recommend this for those who have accessibility issues but for all others… it was wonderful. Many special touches to welcome us!

Spectacular Muskoka retreat!
Our family of eight spent two weeks at Preet’s lake house. It was even more beautiful than in the photos! The boathouse is a spectacular set up: a large, comfortably furnished space with big glass garage doors on three sides so that you can enjoy the lakefront no matter the weather, a kegerator with cold local beer on tap, and a big bouncy people launcher right off the dock. Our grown up children and their partners rediscovered their inner child. :-) The house was very comfortably furnished with plenty of room for people to come together and well-appointed comfortable bedrooms to retreat to. We ate most meals in the Muskoka room,. Screened and perched high above the lake. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, snuggled into the provided blankets. There are so many thoughtful details! Good books and games are available all through the house. (It is a good sign when the basket by your bed has two of your favourite books!) Another example of attention to detail: we bought a couple of marshmallow toasting forks only to discover that there were half a dozen already at the house. The location is optimal, a nice, quiet, private spot but in close proximity to Port Carling and Bala. We had great communication with Preet. It was clear that she is personally invested in ensuring that guests have a great stay, offering personalized suggestions for activities and restaurants and boat rentals and organizing activities like a mixology class and massage sessions onsite. Amazing! Thank you, Preet!
