"Our family had an amazing long weekend at Possum Trot. We were there to celebrate two milestone birthdays and Judith went above and beyond to ensure the trip was memorable. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, even better than the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed both properties and spent a lot of time together in the lodge in front of the fireplace but also had plenty of room to spread out when we wanted. The décor is lovely and the personal touches are so interesting I could have spent hours taking it all in. Judith had everything ready for our arrival so that we were able to immediately relax and enjoy our time together. She was always just a text or call away for any questions. They prepared a delicious birthday meal and everything from the grazing table, to the meal, and the table setting in the sunroom were exquisite. It was so nice to just be able to celebrate the occasion and have everything taken care of. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this offering. The one thing that was not on our side that weekend and that was out of our control was the weather. Judith made sure we had everything we needed to cope with the rain and the wind. And when we unexpectedly lost power, she jumped into action and found alternative (and stunningly beautiful) accommodations to make sure my older parents were comfortable. We are already talking about returning to Possum Trot and cannot wait to add to the stories and memories we made."

"We loved our stay! House was lovely and views were amazing. Very peaceful! We really enjoyed the fireplace since the weather was bad. It was close to wineries, distilleries and restaurants. Katie, our host, was so responsive from booking to departing. You get a Guide Book which is so helpful. We would definitely return. Loved it! "

"We had a very comfortable stay. The house was equipped very well, clean and comfortable beds. The game room was a hit with our 9 and 5 year old! Scenery was gorgeous and fire pit at night was great to see the stars! Would definitely recommend."

"Wife and I were looking for a place away from the hustle that comes with NOVA normally, and especially the weekend of the inauguration. I must say we found the absolute best spot. Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. Most places just leave it up to you to make it up to the property, but the drive way was cleared before our arrival. Most places either require you to bring your own wood, or purchase wood from them, the cabin already had bundles next to the stoves and instructions on where to find more. My wife and I were able to enjoy the entire day of frozen rain and sleet indoors where we just sat around the stove and kept warm. Of course the pantry was fully stocked of coffee to enjoy next to that lite stove. Of course after the warmth and ambiance of the stove, you'll get plenty of rest in the comfortable beds. There is a TV with connections and apps for all your keeping contact with the outside world, so I stayed away from that room. I was there to not hear about what was going on, and that was what I meant to do. I absolutely plan to come back to this cabin, and I'm hoping to bring friends along with me during one or more of those trips.Kalvin"

"Our family greatly enjoyed the property and the area. The house is very clean and spacious. It is very quiet and within driving distance to a lot of fun sites. At night light pollution is minimal and the stars are very visible. I was easily able to do astrophotography in the backyard."
