"We had a wonderful long weekend with 5 couples for a 50th Birthday Trip. The location is beautiful...I cannot imagine what it would look like with the leaves turning or covered in snow...I am sure just gorgeous. The views are everything. The proximity to local breweries, wineries, cideries was the best. We even went up to Wintergreen and tubed. The house is spacious with everyone having their own room and space. Plenty of space for eating and game playing at the kitchen table. Two fridges is great! We used instacart for a Food Lion delivery as recommended by the homeowner and that was just the best!! The game room was a hit...did I mention all adults for a 50th birthday. We had some serious basketball tournaments. We would definitely return and cant recommend this home enough. Great homeowners and beautiful home!"

"The home was well equipped, clean and exactly as described with no unpleasant surprises. The wood burning fireplace was great on the cool days and nights, with plenty of seasoned wood to burn. The host responded within several minutes to questions we had about the property.We would rent again !"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was well stocked with items not usually provided. We did have a visitor, and injured hunting type dog, that showed up on the front porch our first night there and remained there. "

"Our family had an amazing long weekend at Possum Trot. We were there to celebrate two milestone birthdays and Judith went above and beyond to ensure the trip was memorable. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, even better than the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed both properties and spent a lot of time together in the lodge in front of the fireplace but also had plenty of room to spread out when we wanted. The décor is lovely and the personal touches are so interesting I could have spent hours taking it all in. Judith had everything ready for our arrival so that we were able to immediately relax and enjoy our time together. She was always just a text or call away for any questions. They prepared a delicious birthday meal and everything from the grazing table, to the meal, and the table setting in the sunroom were exquisite. It was so nice to just be able to celebrate the occasion and have everything taken care of. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this offering. The one thing that was not on our side that weekend and that was out of our control was the weather. Judith made sure we had everything we needed to cope with the rain and the wind. And when we unexpectedly lost power, she jumped into action and found alternative (and stunningly beautiful) accommodations to make sure my older parents were comfortable. We are already talking about returning to Possum Trot and cannot wait to add to the stories and memories we made."

"Wife and I were looking for a place away from the hustle that comes with NOVA normally, and especially the weekend of the inauguration. I must say we found the absolute best spot. Nelson county has always been a favorite spot for us to go to, but most of the time we have made day trips. I absolutely love being able to post up for a weekend in a quiet setting and being able to relax. Even the pup enjoys the quiet and are keen to relax next to the stoves. Most places just leave it up to you to make it up to the property, but the drive way was cleared before our arrival. Most places either require you to bring your own wood, or purchase wood from them, the cabin already had bundles next to the stoves and instructions on where to find more. My wife and I were able to enjoy the entire day of frozen rain and sleet indoors where we just sat around the stove and kept warm. Of course the pantry was fully stocked of coffee to enjoy next to that lite stove. Of course after the warmth and ambiance of the stove, you'll get plenty of rest in the comfortable beds. There is a TV with connections and apps for all your keeping contact with the outside world, so I stayed away from that room. I was there to not hear about what was going on, and that was what I meant to do. I absolutely plan to come back to this cabin, and I'm hoping to bring friends along with me during one or more of those trips.Kalvin"
