Longview Cottage with views to compliment its name and close to cooperstown

This is a new home built 15 years ago it is fully furnished with new furniture. It sits on 5 acres. If you like to Hike, there is a local trail 1.5 miles away (Texas school house walking trail) and 10 miles away is gilbert lake State Park with plenty of trails and a Lake and beach. There is no hunting on the property but you can also visit any of the local state parks for that. In the winter you can ride snowmobile or cross-country ski. There are several golf coarse within 15 min of the property. If you just want to relax and take in the views you wont be disappointed . There is fire place inside . There are plenty of outdoor activities with several lakes near by for fishing and boating . If you like beer and wine their is also several wineries and brewery in the area. If you are here for the baseball camps they are both 20 to 25 min away.

Winter getaway
The house is very nice and spacious, with gorgeous views. The house is about 15-20 minutes from any towns, which is why we booked it, and it has a stocked kitchen so you can do all your food right there. There was a snow storm our last 2 days there and the driveway and roads out where a little sketchy but we made it (with a van).

We had an incredible time staying at this property. It was exactly as listed and completely clean. Very scenic, quiet, but with fully reliable internet, power, and hot water. The fire place was functional and really added to our experience. The only knock would be that the location doesn't have many food options available, but the kitchen space is huge and there's a grill outside so we had no trouble making delicious meals. The host was responsive, generous, and helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out for a weekend or longer.

Our son was playing at Dreams Park, so this was a place for my husband and I to lay our heads. Place was great for the 2 of us! It was a little far out, but not bad at all for this area of NY. I would definitely rent from this owner again! Overall experience was great!

Total serenity
The nice simplicity of the exterior kind of fools you, because when you walk in, the spacious and well-appointed interior is just wow! Modern and extremely comfortable in every way, total privacy surrounded by peaceful green meadows from every direction. Birds chirping, a sunny deck, fresh air, a jacuzzi adjoining the master bedroom. Loved it!

A place to call home
My son and II stayed in the house with my dog Grover. The place was as described. About 25 minutes from Cooperstown. Plenty of hiking trails. Lots of room on the property for my dog to run and play. it was our home away from home. The cows nearby were lovely to see. My dog loved looking at them from a distance and they at him. They both ate grass together. Great place to stay. Bring your own shampoo and soap.

Beautiful and relaxing!
We were looking for a pet friendly home while visiting our son at SUNY Oneonta. This house is absolutely beautiful! The views are gorgeous and there are a zillion stars at night. You are away from it all, but Cooperstown and Oneonta are not too far away, (but just far enough). Rich could not be nicer and made himself available to answer any questions. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you to the Dennis family for a wonderful and relaxing stay!

My husband and I got away for our anniversary. Great communication with the owner. The home is as beautiful as advertised. The jacuzzi was wonderful. If you like super-firm mattresses, this home if for you. If not, you may want to being a mattress topper. The home is private on a quiet road. But, you are close enough to Cooperstown and Oneonta for some civilization.

We were in the area for games at the Cooperstown Dreams Park. We required a pet-friendly house and Longview Cottage met that need. The house was comfortable, spacious and provided us with all the amenities that we needed for an enjoyable week- long stay. Rich responded quickly to any questions that we had while at the house. The views are gorgeous and, once we mastered the route to the ballpark, we were able to get there in less that 30 minutes. Thanks Rich and family for a great week at your home!

Lovely quiet place to get away
The house was just as posted. It was very clean. You are off the road and no other houses too close so it’s very quiet. The neighbors had cows that we saw every day from the one side of the house. There was a table and chairs outside to sit on the back, but we didn’t use it b/c it was either too hot or raining. The owner gave me his contact info in case there was I needed to get ahold of him during my stay, but I didn’t have any issues so I only messaged him when we left. I would stay here again and recommend this place to stay.
