"We rented the house for the weekend as we had an event to attend. We brought the family and two small dogs. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The lake was very nice and although we didn’t have time to fish, it looks like a nice place to relax and catch a few. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. "Loved our stay here. The view of the lake is spectacular. The place was super clean and seemed like it had just been renovated, so everything felt new. The owners had a lot of nice and thoughtful touches, including having a fire pit full of wood and ready to be lit when we arrived. The bed was comfortable as well! I can only say good things about our stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay here as a nice getaway from busy life. "

"I stayed 3 nights with my two grandsons we had a great time. We fished the near by lakes it’s best if you have a boat. On Saturday we drove to Lonestar to the water park on lake that was really nice. Great local restaurants food was great and the people were very friendly. Overall great experience. The only issue we had was barking dogs early in the morning. "

"My husband and I were in much need of a peaceful weekend escape. This little cottage was absolutely perfect in every way! It completely hit the mark! Anna the host even had fresh perfectly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upon arrival! I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. We visited the nearby farmers market in Winnsboro and it too was so wonderful! We will definitely visit again! And hopefully many more! "This was a great place to stay. The location was great. Right by the lake with beautiful sunset views. About 20 minutes from town and a beautiful drive. All the comforts of home and as the description says no internet for a peaceful get away but phone service is no problem. Lots of DVDs to choose from. It was nice to disconnect. Definitely will be back. Be sure to take the Jefferson Ghost Walk tour, Busy B Ranch Wildlife Safari, and Ole Jiggers Caddo Lake Adventure boat tour. You won't...
