"We really wanted to get away for a few nights and relax, this spot was perfect. The area is beautiful, the house is great, the bed was comfortable, and it was nice and quiet. Towns are close enough to get some food or supplies and get back to doing nothing, Mineola, Hawkins, and Lindale are great little towns. Nelda was very helpful and nice. We enjoyed our stay."

"Needs a lot of upkeep. Run down. Trash all around the pond. Grill was full of old used charcoal above the grate. Only 5 coffee mugs. No dishwasher. We ended up only sleeping there. Went to our friends at another place during day. "

"We had our annual Father/Son duck hunt, and always stay at this house. It is perfect for a larger group and there is plenty of area for the kids to play baseball and football. "

"This house was just perfect - far enough outside of town to be alone and enjoy quiet time and close enough to “run to town” if you forgot something. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely go back."

"The home is a peaceful and serene area very close to the lake. We spent a lot of time walking the area, enjoying nature. We spent one afternoon in Jefferson, which is only 30 minutes away. The beds were comfortable, and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in each shower were convenient. The kitchen had most of the items we needed, and the Ninja coffee maker was excellent. We were sad to leave and are already planning a trip back!"

"Absolutely great place to enjoy the peace and serenity of a lakefront retreat. Hugely spacious A-frame house with kitchen and baths that contribute to your comfort. Hosts, Donna & Paul, offered friendly waves & hellos, there if you need them, leave you to yourself if you choose. We stayed with our 12-year old standard poodle (we adopted him five years ago) and he and we enjoyed the large property and the wonderful deer passing through. Great place, highly recommended. New hotel in Lindale

"The hotel was clean and new. The bed was comfy and the air conditioning quiet. Breakfast was what we expected from a chain hotel...ok, but not great. The location was excellent, within walking distance of quality restaurants. We would definitely stay there again."
