"This place and the surrounding area are amazing in my opinion. I learned the hard way, but you deff need a car in this area. The towns all around are cute and have a nice old school charm. And Lismore castle and gardens are amazing. Just wish the lord and lady would allow tours of the castle."

"Owner was in contact straight with a very extensive information package running to several pages. He also contacted us by TELEPHONE directly from the USA! The booklet emphasised the wooden floors (several times) as also he did (several times) which was a tad OTT (or maybe just tor us standoffish Brits). The irish contact however was really helpful and left the key in an agreed place for us. When we arrived, we were not quite sure which cottage was ours so a sign might be useful. Upon arrival...

"Lovely rural location , property very well equipped especially in Kitchen and utility room Interaction with local representatives of owner very good and helpful. Main Bathroom very serviceable, but shower cubical could do with refresh Overall a great stay"

"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."

"The property is in a stunning location overlooking the mountains, a short drive to the pretty village of Kilmacthomas. There were ten adults in our party, for a family reunion. Games room well stocked, plenty of room and space for everyone. Couldn’t have asked for anything better, the host, Helen, was very communicative and we have no complaints in any respect,. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"On arrival and on opening the front door, there is an overwhelming fusty smell of damp this emanates from the flat roof in the kitchen and Bathroom damp signs are visible on the ceiling and around the bath sealant. The back door does not open thereby closing off a secondary escape route, there was a note left saying that the door would be repaired that week however it was undated and there are no obvious signs of this work being done. "We originally booked a 1 bedroom but the night before we got there we were told that wasn’t available and we were being given a different unit. I felt uncomfortable with that at such late notice but the house we were given was much larger and grander. The location was perfect for our stay and travels. The owner was kind and helpful. They have a family farm and were working a lot so we appreciated his time. The views are pretty and it was very peaceful."

Not the best hotel I have stayed in

"Not the best nor worst hotel i have stayed in, The room was pretty basic and bed ok. I have stayed in other Lawlors hotels which I found to be better than this. The food in the bar was reasonably priced but not the best quality and i left some of it. it didnt feel welcoming for a business traveller with loud locals shouting and swearing all over the place. I wouldnt stay again I am afraid"

"Wow! Moorepark is centrally located to pretty much anything you want to see on a nice day trip. We visited the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin cave in one trip. We had planned to stay one night but because it was so easy to travel back and forth to different places, we decided to stay five nights and use Moorepark as our home base. Tricia, the property mgr was extremely informative about the area and where to shop on our down time. She is very kind and upbeat. Overall, we will be back and we will tell everyone we know that Moorepark is the place to stay in Fermoy Ireland. What a secluded hidden gem. Give Tricia a raise!!! Job well done!!! Harry and Angela"
