"We stayed overnight but we would love to come back some time and try the trout fishing. The lodge is on the river and as I walked past I could see large trout swimming. The gardens are stunning. Our chalet was very quiet, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast here. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here. "

Rebecca and Jason are attentive, anticipating their clients needs, and are at the ready to make great dining and sightseeing recommendations. The private cedar hot tubs room side are to die for. "Nina and Peter's little Chalet was delightful. Bella and Rufus were the perfect cuddle buddies in the morning while Nina prepared breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here. Easy access to Taupo area but out of the way and quiet!"

"As it turned out we were the only guests in the hotel during our stay so there was only the chef preparing our meals (included) and no other service was available. There was an intial hiccup with our TV and lack of hot water so we had to change rooms but playing a round on the Kinloch Golf course is well worth the trouble."
