We drove in after many days on the road, and we found this cute little place to be a welcome haven for an afternoon/evening of rest & recovery before college tours of University of Idaho and Washington State University the next day. We were very glad that we chose not to stay in a hotel. We stopped off at the local natural foods co-op for a few dinner items, and then had everything we needed to share a quiet meal at ‘home’. Everything was very clean, well-kept, nicely decorated, and well-appointed. Towels & linens felt and smelled freshly laundered. There was a microwave, mini-fridge, Krups coffee maker, dishes, utensils, napkins, coffee, granola, bottled water, wine, chocolate mints, soft cotton bedding, comfortable pillows and mattresses (they put a fully made-up twin sized mattress on the floor for my teenaged daughter, which there was plenty of room for) lots of hot water, good water pressure (I have long, thick hair,) soaps, shampoos, lotions, hangars, hairdryer, cotton terry bathrobes, thick cotton towels, etc. The owners live on site, in the front house with their small children, which worried us a bit when they told us, because we really were tired and needed rest. But it turned out not to be a problem at all. The owners were very on top of communication and finding out what our needs were before we arrived. After showing us in, they left the yard and carriage house entirely to us and our privacy, and it was very peaceful & quiet. I always travel with large paper clamps that I use for curtains in most places that I stay, because I like to sleep past sunrise, and I am very light sensitive. I did use those clamps here, but I find that I need them most places. My husband travels for a living, and often has to work from wherever we are. I must admit that the wi-if is probably a bit slower than he would need to actually work a full day from this location. But the wi-fi was plenty adequate for my daughter & I to do what we wanted to, which is mostly website surfing, checking email & social media, and planning the next day with Yelp and Google Maps (maps did load a bit slowly.) The only single thing we wanted that was not there was hot chocolate, which my daughter has become accustomed to finding wherever she sees a Krups coffee maker. Overall, we found this place exceptionally nice, and the owners to be very on top of things. When we are back in the area, we will stay here again.
