"I really enjoyed my stay here. It was conveniently 6min from the train station (as long as you exit from the correct exit/gate). The area had a ton of food options and it was easy to get around via bus /train to all of the main tourist attractions. I enjoyed that the hostel sold one day subway and bus pass. "If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old.
