"Mainly fine. Friendly check in. Don't like the fact that my card was debited £50 despite assurance it wouldn't be. I had already paid so why the debit on my card? Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation....

"Great stay for one night in the half term break. The guy who checked us in was great, saw my struggle with the vast amount of stairs (i have a dodgy knee) he moved us to a first floor room instead of second floor! Room was clean and tidy, seemed to be newly decorated with new furniture! Great view across the sea, and even though it was on the front the noise from traffic wasn't too bad. Just a few things that could do with a little look in to are the curtains, don't hang properly and let light...

"We had a lovely stay at the Clarendon Hotel. The breakfast is well worth it. Generally quite clean rooms. The wifi isn't the best, the shower pressure is less than desirable. However the beautiful views and friendly atmosphere definitely makes up for it. The surrounding streets sometimes feel a little unsafe so I wouldn't let my children out on their own."

"The proprietor was very welcoming, the room was clean and tidy. There was also tea,coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They do not do breakfast but the proprietor recommended places where we could obtain an evening meal with a pint of real ale and also some breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Staff were excellent - offered and changed my room from family to twin room, which was far better for me ( 2 beds versus bed and converted settee ). Hotel only 7 months old so in very good condition. Central, car parking nearby. Food offereing not good, but chinese carry out very close, and plenty of local cafe's. Taxi office about 100 yards from hotel. Good price."

"Great place to stay for a break, the caravan layout was ideal and the kitchen had all the facilities needed to cook meals etc., Having a shower/toilet and a separate toilet makes this property ideal for families. Cleanliness was of a very good standard and quality bedding provided. The location was quiet but within a few miles of towns and local pubs and eateries if you wanted to go off site. I would stay again."
