Very little in the way of literature about the area. Security of residents’ rooms was questionable. Members of the public had access to the stairs near the front door to the bar."

"Lovely stay at Meadhon House as part of a Borders exploration trip. Easy walking distance to Jedburgh Abbey and town centre. The room was beautifully furnished and very well appointed. Breakfast was very tasty with good options. Lovely warm welcome from Amanda and Rob - turns out it is a very small world indeed! We shall return if ever back in the area. "

"We enjoyed a fantastic 2 night trip over the bank holiday weekend. This was a lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated throughout, VERY comfortable beds, very clean. Its in a peaceful location (2 minutes from the Chillingham cattle visitor centre). Our host Mhairi couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming during our stay. "Excellent fewdays in Hawick. Loads to do in Hawick, places to get food & drink excellent and Saturday's can have a real buzz about town if rugby club win. That said Hawick High Street is a bit tired looking & could do with a bit of money spent o it. It has potential to be an excellent visit venue. The Bank Bank House was top class. Donna (the owner) couldn't be more helpful. Ecellemt location, comfy, stylish & clean. Will be back next time im down in Hawick."

"Lovely room in clean house in centrally placed location. Just a couple of negatives. No ordinary breakfast tea in room just coffee or chamomile tea. Lovely shortbread though. No t.v. stations just bbc 1. Plus no breakfast. Wr asked numerous times about breakfast and were told to see Christine. But unfortunately Christine never appeared. Think we had paid for it aswell. It didnt spoil our stay just disappointing. "
