This waterfront cottage has the perfect surroundings for a family getaway! Because it is the last cottage on a dead end, nature is all around you here! There are woods to walk through with a small waterfall and babbling brook that runs alongside the cottage. A long grassy front lawn can be used for all kinds of outdoor activities, and best of all the beach is level with no steps! There is a dock to keep your boat on if you decide to bring one or rent one. The walk out into the water is a fairly gradual one which is great for small children. The best thing about this beach is not only is it level, but there are no weeds growing here in the water so a pleasurable swim is in store. The beach consists of small flat rounded rocks. We also have a rowboat with life jackets you can use if you want to venture out in the lake a bit more!
A short walking distance away (approx. 200 yards) is a a large green space (about 10 acres) with a small playground and room for all kinds of outdoor lawn activities that require a large space. A dirt path/private road runs along side it and is great for kids that bring bikes or scooters etc. or just for taking a nice walk!
The approximately 1000 square foot cottage has a wonderful open floor plan and boasts a very spacious living and dining area great for conversation or relaxation with nice views of the lake and stream. The living room leads out to a deck on the lake side which has a grill, lounge furniture and dining with all the sounds of nature.
The modern kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cookware/utensils and is just off the dining room, which also has views of the lake through the living area.
There are three small cottage sized bedrooms, one with a queen, another with two twins another with a double, and there is a queen sofa bed in the living room.
The shade from the large old trees around the cottage and the lake breeze keep it nice and cool so there is really no need for air conditioning. We do have a couple of ceiling fans and portable oscillating fans you can place in the bedrooms or wherever you like.
There is no furnace in the cottage but there is a portable space heater you can place where you like and also some electric blankets for chilly spring or fall nights.

Lake House Vacation
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The lake access can’t be beat - we spent time there every day - the beach area made it easy for kids to wade/swim. Check in/out instructions were clear and Christine was reachable when needed! There was plenty to do in the area - we are already thinking about our next trip to the Finger Lakes!

This is by far the best equipped vacation rental I've ever stayed in. It is charmingly decorated, and has a wonderful kitchen. The week we stayed was rainy but that just made the waterfalls better. DO NOT miss nearby Fillmore Glenn State Park's gorge trail. Out of all the beautiful sights we saw, that was not only the most beautiful, but the most accessable trail, and it's only about 20 minutes south.

The cottage was very neat and clean. Everything was provided [ except for food and drinks] and the kitchen was well equipped with everything. Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. The boat launch was a short trip across the lake. We would do it again.

What a great property this was for myself and 3 friends! Great cottage on the lake with a relaxing peaceful lake view! The cottage itself was very clean, well stocked and spacious! The owner , Christine, was quick with responses to questions and extremely accommodating! None of us wanted to leave! Perfectly relaxing in every way!

Chilling on the Lake
We attended a May wedding nearby so decided to rent via VRBO rather than the expensive hotel rates around college graduation time. Very pleasant stay in spite of being off season. Our dog played on the beach and in the water with the neighbors friendly young dog. Located alongside a brook which was peaceful as you can hear the water coming down to the bottom of the hill and into the lake. Enjoyed nearby Filmore Glenn for hiking and seeing the beautiful water falls. Plenty of nearby wineries plus a brewery less than a mile away. Christine our sponsor was very responsive to any of our needs, including quickly remedying an unforeseen septic issue. We were so impressed we booked another camp through her in a few months.

Great location
Its difficult to find rentals that accept dogs. This did and was perfect for us. She loves to swim. So the beach with its jetty was perfect. It was very quiet. We enjoyed kayacking,swimming, and fires on the beach. The house had everything we needed, but does need a end of season clean and repair session.

Cute lake cottage
We had a wonderful time on Owasco lake. We swam and paddled boarded everyday. Plenty of room for all of us, well stocked kitchen. Just a short drive to Filmore Glenn and to other hiking spots. Farm stands everywhere! We had fun exploring Ithaca, Skaneateles, Aurora and Auburn. Our host, Christine, was super responsive and checkin/checkout was simple and easy. My dogs had fun, too!

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect! I really loved the sun porch.The host was always just a text away. We had a washer/dryer as well as a dishwasher. Apparently the washer needed to be replaced from the last rental and low and behold it was sent immediately and set up. The beach front was lovely.It is rocky so wear your water shoes! We had plenty of opportunity to swim. The water was clean. The house is in a small pvt community. We had our privacy and the locals were nice. The kitchen was well appointed. I am looking forward to next year

We were 7 plus a 5-month old. Possible but a bit cozy. It would be pleasant if not spacious for 6 or fewer. The house was fairly clean. Nice, new and functional kitchen. Parked 4 vehicles easily. The land is a sliver, perhaps 20-25’ wide. The stream bed varied from full to dry. The stone beach is nice, the dock minimal but old-timey, the lake clear and delightful. The metal fire pit on the beach was a plus in the evenings. Pet-friendly: we took along our little rescue pup.

Over priced for what you get.
Had to drive through a huge impression and deep water in the road to get to the cottage. Inside in dire need of a paint job. Walls and wood were full of dirt, chips, and gouges. Furniture was dirty and had soiled spots. One pillow had blood on it. Towels provided were old and well worn. Windows were full of bugs and FILTHY. One bedroom had curtains that did not fit the windows providing NO PRIVACY from the very close neighbor next door. Some of the shades were broken as well. THEN...in her instructions for your stay, you are required to wash the bedding and towels, clean the grill and take out the garbage. I don't go on vacation to pay 500.00 a night to do YOUR job after your renter leaves. Pictures didn't match what you find when you get there.

This is a horrible house and not worth the money!
The house has a horrible smell of mold/sewage in a horrible location. The dock was broken and unsafe for our kids. We needed up renting another house and the owner refused to refund us our money. Also be aware that the owner does not accept credit cards, so you have no recourse to be refunded. This house should be removed from the listing.

A wonderful week at the Lake!
We had a wonderful week at this lake house. The description was exactly as described. It was clean and bright. The dock was taken out because of very heavy rains from several weeks ago. It did NOT make any difference in our stay. We used the firepit most nights by the water’s edge. The Adirondack chairs were perfect! Kitchen was well equipped and clean as was the rest of the house. We did not have any problems during our stay but when I texted Christine midweek that everything was fine, she responded immediately! There are so many things to do or you can just stay back at the house and relax! The only issue that we had ( and we knew this going in) was that on hot and humid days, air conditioning would have been nice. The fans were fine. I would absolutely recommend this house 🏡!!

Lake Vacation
Overall we had a really nice time on our trip. Check in process was easy. House was in a nice location. Some of the downside items of our stay was the cleanliness of the home noticed a few things that could have been cleaned up more upon our arrival. We had young toddlers with us so it was hard for them to cross the bridge to get to the dock or the water so that was a challenge. The grill had difficulty starting up each time and the grates are falling apart.. it really needs to be replaced. Also every time it rained there wasn't anywhere to store the cushions from outside so everything remained soaked and we weren't able to sit outside. Also, the house itself is situated further back from the lake than we thought it was going to be. Christine was in great communication throughout our stay.

Never again.
It was so cold with only one space heater to warm the place. We had to sleep in living room to keep warm. You flush the toilet the sink and tub would bubble and it smelled. We were afraid to shower or bathe. The other scary part was after we brushed our teeth and drank a glass of water We read in their book not to drink the water. I got a terrible tummy ache now we know why. The lawn was so overgrown. The kitchen window was left open upon our arrival so it was damp and cold. We closed it. Went to town came back the place smelled like mold or mildew. The lake was pretty, kitchen had plenty of dishes for cooking . We will never stay at this place again and felt the price we paid we should have had better heat, felt safe to shower and brush our teeth.

Great little cottage!
We really enjoyed our trip, the little ones loved the beach and throwing stones in and swimming. The adults enjoyed the opportunity to unwind in this slice of heaven. We had an initial "issue" with one of the neighbors allowing their dog to roam free when we had a dog also with us but Christine took care of it promptly and for the most part the neighbor complied. We only had one situation where the dog came over but we were able to get it off the property without incident. Christine thank you for sharing your home with us, my 3 year old grandson loved the lake!
