"Host, Will is fantastic, great communication. He left some coffee and milk for us as well as a bar of chocolate. The lodge is clean and tidy and everything is great with it. If you stay check out the DVD collection it is legendary. Also, there is Nintendo Wii in the lodge which is great for kids great fun. We will be back for sure, if the lodge is availible. Thanks Will…. "

"Excellent. I thought this was too good to be true with the price I paid but I was very wrong. We originally had 2 nights booked but extended to 4 nights which says it all. We travelled with a 1 and 3 year old and they absolutely loved their time here, my 3 year old didn’t want to come home again. The reception staff are lovely and the cottages are well supplied with all you need - washing detergent, dishwasher tablets etc. and also eco friendly. The area is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed...

"Working over Christmas we booked this break to get away from all the madness. Just us and the dog. Thimblewynd was just perfect and we loved it. Peaceful and comfy throughout we chilled out in front of thr log burner or in the hot tub, the tv wasn't on once! We eat at the Kirkstyle Inn which was lovely but made ourselves breakfast and snacks in the well equipped kitchen. There was not a single thing we could fault and we loved every minute. Thanks to Maggie for hosting us. "
